There has already been a revolution. I’m interested in joining the counter-revolution.

"Exactly...it’s not about taking over the republican party."

The biggest threat is if the republican party tries to takeover the Conservative party. Guess what...the repubs are losing....

WOW! Don't you see that this is the EXACT reason why we have a $105 TRILLION structural debt, a $12 TRILLION current debt and a $1.4 TRILLION budget deficit? Article 1 Section 8 as understood by the Founders is THE ONLY solution. I'm not interested in rearranging the chairs on the Titanic through the 2 party system. Remember, Medicare Part D was a genius Republican idea... now that's conservatism.

WOW! You totally didn't even address anything that I said!

Sorry, but there's more to conservatism than complaining about spending and the deficit.

Someone who's pro-choice doesn't get my support. someone who's anti-gun doesn't get my vote. Someone who's pro-gay marriage doesn't get anything from me, either. Someone who's pro-illegal immigration will not be supported by myself. So on and so forth.

If Tea Partiers don't articulate some strong conservative positions on these and other issues, then they don't get my support beyond merely helping to make noise and get the GOP's attention. And if they refuse to because they only care about a subset of economic issues, then they don't deserve to be anything other than just another pressure group.

You and me both brother and based on this poll, it appears to be forming.

Tune into our radio program “The Forgotten Men” AM 930 WFMD and in January we'll be rolling out a “game changer” that will force these Constitutional questions to a head.

I do like to support individual Constitutional Conservative Candidates as much as I can - and sometimes I scan the check along with the donor form before I send it, so I can send the RNC a COPY of the check that they are NOT getting - and let them pay the postage for it!

I like the cut of your jib, mister. ;)

The third party in this country are the Republicans. They are the spoilers.

Well said! Worth repeating:

**55% of conservatives nationwide consider themselves Republicans [thus 45% are something else]

Yeah, but herein lies the problem. If the Tea Partiers just decide to run candidates willy nilly, even against solidly conservative Republicans, that 55% of conservatives who ARE Republicans will see no need to vote for the Tea Partyist. Ergo, split the vote and lose.

Run Tea Party candidates where the GOP has hand-picked a clear RINO, or better yet, do the grunt work of beating the RINO in the primary with a Tea Party candidate. Force local Party leadership to hold a primary, if they're trying to avoid it.

Re you BRILLIANT observation:

“There’s a time-honored, deadly accurate technical term used to describe political parties which no longer reflect — and are even openly contemptuous of — the concerns and desires of their respective bases.

That term is: LOSERS.”

A-MEN, right ON, dittos, affirm-a-tory and 10-4, My good man!

Now the question is; are said losers capable of getting a CLUE??!!

Unfortunately, that corollary does not seem to apply so much up here in Maine, where Oly SNOWE and Susan COLLINS keep getting re-elected by landslides every time they run. *{8^{(~

IMHO we need a serious changing of the guard and sending a lot of current players back to the farm teams to brush up on reality.

We live in interesting times...

I think the system has to come to a point where the food stamp debit cards don’t work, the SS deposits don’t happen and the checks don’t arrive in the mailbox.

SS gets means tested so that the truly disabled and poor don’t starve. Federal and state assets are sold to fund them. Government pensions need to share the same pain that private sector pensions and retirement funds face. We’re not going to stand for federal and state pensions to be guaranteed and paid for out of the taxpayers pocket while the private sector takes the hit.

Government consumption of GDP must be constitutionally limited to stay under 10% with no off the books accounting.

Socialism truly will be misery for all. It will be painful to pick up the pieces.

The Fairtax would light a rocket under our economy and alleviate a large part of the pain.

Actually the real opportunity is to split the Dems. The far left is pissed beyond belief at 0 and there is a clear opportunity to split them off. Nader or someone like him needs to go Dem and blow the place apart.

I am desperately hoping that the tea party movement targets primary elections to get conservatives back in the Republican tickets. We need to stick with Republicans instead of splitting the vote in the general election. I think you are right about getting cocky about this. We risk destroying our country even more by allowing the Democrat to win.

Exactly and there is NO way to get an ideologically pure party with enough votes to oust Democrats. This is pie-in-the-sky wishful thinking and not at all realistic.

Again, this is not heaven.

RE :”Side question: What is the compelling Tea Party message for these blood-sucker Americans in the thread below? “Join us, we will make you get a job and pay your fair share?

Obama called them ‘middle class hard working taxpayers’ to get their votes. Democrats learned from SS and Medicare, people will demand welfare if convinced they are owed it.

Three things 'together' helped democrats solidify the idea that these voters are owed by government :1) tax cuts that they didn't get, or were small ,(dont pay taxes) 2) Iraq war and reconstruction costs and military spending, contracts, and 3) Bailouts of banks. Now much of the public asks, “All this money spent ... where's mine?”. #3 was the killer. Bushbots never seem to understand how bad #3 looked.

Note that GWB Medicare Drugs and No Child bought republicans exactly one election, 2004. Republicans still ended up being seen as helping the rich, the corporations, Wall street, ....

I have raised a similar point many many times how republicans can handle these folks without a repeat. Until this question can be answered I don't understand why republicans should be in the majority again. Right now republicans are defending medicare. Yikes, They are good at opposition, in the minority.

What about "Republicans" who, in the positions they take and the votes they cast, are all but indistinguishable FROM Democrats...?

Look, I don't like the Snowes, Collins, etc., any more than you BUT even if you develop what you consider an ideologically pure political party and you say that no RINOs are allowed, how do you plan to ever win an election?

Besides, how can any political party tell ANYONE they cannot run on whichever party they please.

You folks have unrealistic expectations.

The only way to move this country to the right is to expect enough from the grassroots to have the light bulbs go on in their heads and decide it is in their own best interest to defeat Dimocrats.

When we have libs controlling education, churches, entertainment we have our little skulls full of mush being indoctrinated with liberalism.

Something must change at the bottom.
