I’d be more worried about where that monkey flew out of!

Great to watch the climate liars claim the KGB is after them, though.

I don't care who did it. We all owe them a big thanks.(*) Heck, I'd like to buy whoever did it a beer.

(*) Note, the frauds in government, academia, and the various "scientists" in climate science probably aren't thanking them for blowing their scam open.

It’s ironic that the Norfolk police and Scotland Yard, along with (possibly) Britains intelligence agencies (M15 and M16), are conducting a criminal probe to try to uncover the hacker, yet Phil Jones, Michael Mann, and the rest of the fraudsters remain free and unindicted.

I’m not sure “ironic” is the term I’d use, but I let it go with that. I’m sure you and I are in full agreement what ought to happen to those fraudsters.

I don’t believe it.

As Vaclav Klaus has stated, ecocommunism is the new home of old Soviet-style communism.

The Soviets wouldn’t want this information released because it is part of the effort to destroy the free-market system and capitalism.

And their use of petroleum is irrelevant. They’ll do whatever the hell they want despite what the rest of the world does and demands others to do.

If yes, it will be the 1st time in my life I have been grateful for the existence of the KGB. (or whatever they are calling the KGB today).

I am thinking it was not so smart an idea by Obama and Pelosi to challenge the CIA after all.

I bet that more stuff gets leaked at the 11th hour on a ton of issues

Maybe emails were leaked for all the wrong reasons, but still these are the emails between the so-called scientists discussing how to defraud the entire world.

Yup. Classic old time CAI op. Leak it and make it look like the Russkies did it. That was my first thought when I saw a Russian server was one of the points.

There was some mention of possible Russian hackers right at the start of this business.

But I fail to see why Russia would do this. Russia was extremely eager for the U.S. to sign on to Kyoto, because they were supposed to be one of the beneficiaries.

I don’t know how that stands with Copenhagen. But Russia would have no compunction about simply refusing to join unless they benefitted from it. That’s what they’ve always done, and that’s what people expect them to do. No one would be surprised.

It’s always the U.S. that is subjected to moral pressure. Russia is immune to it.

When Pelosi took on the CIA I thought it was only a matter of time before they went after her. When Obama allowed them to be put under the microscope I knew it would happen to them in the most embarrassing way that an operative could dream up.

Hey, you want to make it hard for these guys to do their jobs in the conventional way, then they have time on their hands.
They can find other ways of defending America, like exposing Obama Pelosi and Reid for what they are.

Russia has absolutely NO reason to expose this at all. What would their reason be, they are trying to help the US economy? Hardly!

On the other hand, op’s would have every reason to do it.

I say score one for the good guys.

I understand your explanation (of US intel making it look like Russian ops did this...)But...

Were I a knowingly, policy/grant driven, pointy headed academic...and I thought that KGB types were ‘questioning’ my motivations/theories, I dare say I would feel threatend (and not just careerwise).

If this wasn’t just an honest ‘whistleblower’ then everything changes for the players in this. Criminal charges would almost be comforting.

To the contrary, the Russian have EVERY reason to expose this. Along with Saudi Arabia, they are one of the largest producers and exporters of oil and gas. Which, in a carbon credit regime, would be made much more costly -- and, thus, less in demand.

“Suspicions were growing last night that Russian security services were behind the leaking of the notorious British ‘Climategate’ emails”

Heh heh heh,,,wonder if they've black-bagged any place in Hawaii? Heck, maybe they wanted to send a message to someone in our government who has any documents he wants to keep hidden....

I know a lady from Tomsk. She was quite amused when I told her town was in the news.
