Sure they do.
Target rich environment :-)
I don’t think there is a government left on the planet that can be believed about anything....including our own.
Iran is building centrifuges to enrich uranium and is going to build nuke plants to produce energy, but has no uranium to mine.
Instead, Iran has oil and could produce its own energy, but doesn't have the brain power to build refineries?
So...even though they have no uranium, they are building centrifuges so they can enrich uranium they can't mine to be used in nuke plants they don't have?
I'm no rocket surgeon, but, thinking out loud here, wouldn't it be more likely they are building bombs? Just asking...
well its the best deterrent
Obama Enabled Irans Nuclear Program Expansion
During the last year we have witnessed Barack Obama employ the centerpiece of his foreign policy by initiating Iranian talks without preconditions. However, adversarial countries, now unconstrained by Western proprieties, invest traditional diplomacy with Oriental/Asian principles of treachery and violence as found in teachings of Sun Tzu and Hassan bin Sabah.
This latest announcement of Ahmadinejad shows his reaction after seeing Obamas open negotiations descend into submissive posturing. Obama demonstrated submissiveness with his unprecedented lack of support for demonstrators after a rigged election.
Effective diplomacy against emerging opponents will be methodical, covert, multi-faceted, and predictably lethal. Opponents we face initiate and respond to diplomacy residing on a continuum including war. Talks, conferences and economic measures serve as war without bloodshed; war serves as diplomacy with bloodshed. Intelligence, propaganda, and espionage invigorate all options. Opponents frustrate plans, break alliances, isolate governments, and sow dissention among government branches.
Unless offered compelling enticements, or confronting unanswerable force, opponents best strategy remains endless mendacity and violence, while we debate national interests into ever-narrower parameters. The last Iranian nuclear weapons National Intelligence Estimate provoked such self-destructive debate, drawing Persian Gulf countries closer to Iran. The latest Iranian government announcement about nuclear fuel enrichment again moves Persian Gulf countries closer to Iran.
