However, I note the Huckabee and Romney in 2008 altered their positions when they saw it was a liability to be not very hard on illegal immigration. I seem to recall some comments about immigration from Palin in 2008 that did not sit too well with me, I wonder if it was just McCain script she was forced to parrot; at any rate, maybe her book delves into that.

Homework is good. If done vigorously, it will find that there is no inconsistencies in her statements. She has chosen to expand on them at this time. In her book, she does not reveal any support for keeping illegals. Indeed, this statement in question is more verification.

There is no perfect candidate. There are electable ones. I will stick with the lady in red! Anybody that can juggle an infant on her hip, write a book, KEEP in the center of Zero's (and company) bullseye, and draw such crowds (without rock bands) of fans begging her to run for 2012, is my type of candidate.

I voted for my first Republican in 1980. I was raised in the Democrat South. I voted Carter in, and I voted him out. First Reagan, then GHWB, and against Bubba. When the ran Dole against him, I scratched my head, and held my nose. Dole is an honorable old man.

With GWB, I hoped and pulled the lever twice. My hopes were filled by visions of deficits and bigger gum't in the mirror. I still can't believe how that turned out. It set up this pResident to keep the Socialist ball rolling, even faster. We are at the brink of something bad, I fear. We have to stop the train, and rip out the tracks.

I first saw Mrs. Palin speak at the RNCNC, as VP nominee. Her words woke up something, not just her looks. Since then, my admiration has grown to solid support. I have made it a goal to help get her elected POTUS in 2012.

But, that goal is far away, and 2010 is in her cross hairs. She has pledged to help elect other like-minded conservatives. Will she deal with illegals. Yes. How? I don't know, but she can't do worse than her predecessors!!!

I will keep guard on Sarah. It is a constant battle with so many trolls trying to drain off support for some losing or tiny-minded battles of their choice. She is usually carrying, so I won't worry about being armed with more than words and the internet.

Sarah Palin had 1,081,825 supporters on FaceBook yesterday morning. Alan Keyes had 6,761 supporters, as of the same time.

Sarah Palin had 1,084,585 supporters on FaceBook around 4 this morning. Alan Keyes had 6,767 supporters.

Sarah Palin has 1,084,745 supporters on FaceBook as of this writing. Alan Keyes has 6,767 supporters, as of right now...

But you obviously agree with the larger premise of my #172, which was the need for continued diligence on ALL of our major candidates for 2012, to make sure they do not stray, even if they are good. I think we would agree on that, and that is precisely what I was trying to emphasize. Nobody is above our scrutiny.
