If you have a RINO you can only know that by his performance in an elective position. If he's been there for years and loses he's just an "ex-whatever".

The term RINO has always been most properly applied to those Democrats or "others" who we allow to run on the Republican label simply because a real Republican or real Conservative probably could not win in that heavily Democrat district.
