RomneyCare is big government forcing its will on a formerly free people. It's anti-American, anti-free-markets, anti-Liberty and unconstitutional. Listen to the Reagan tape. RomneyCare is the socialism he's talking about. RomneyCare = ObamaCare. No difference.
Government is not the solution, it IS the problem!!
Free Republic will not support gun grabbing, abortion pushing, gay rights pushing, big government socialist RINOS!!
In fact we will actively campaign AGAINST them!!
Free Republic is a pro-Life & Liberty small government conservative site for pro-Life & Liberty small government conservatives!!
Take a freaking hike if you don't like it.
RINOS be damned!!
Hope this helps.
I would add that if they really want to change the government to suit them, there's a process to do so...it's called a "Constitutional Amendment" -- not judicial fiat and certainly not just usurping the power.
(Not that I'm in favor of expansion in any way; but if they feel they must, they should use the process put in there by the founders to do so)
My biggest problem with Mitt buddy is that he seems to be too pragmatic to actually hold to that (or any other) principle.
There is no REAL difference. If you are forced into doing what your government tells you (which both do) it doesn’t matter.
It was an exercise by a think tank, not intended for prime time. Anyone with any sense (including folks at Heritage) knew that in the real world it had issues as it stood and would be ripe for immediate abuse. Indeed that is one thing that disturbed about Mitt, that he tried it. If he was so damned smart he should have known better.
The only viable Universal health care is that which has been provided via charities for centuries. Get back to that.
The article at the blog posted had this link to the Kentucky board at this forum, look for berosus.
LOL. Hey, I didn’t say I was as wondeful as lady lawyer, only that I admired her. She is better than the rest. More power to her. And, even the quotes you posted, while not staying above the fray like lady lawyer does, are not hysterical or abusive (like many freeper posts on this thread). They are just factual.

Agreed.
He hasn’t been banned yet either.
He has also stayed away from this thread.

Too ambitious, imho.
I’m a conservative that believes in god and that evolution exists. Look at the creationist threads here (99% by godgunsguts). If you don’t agree in lockstep with his view, you are labeled a Nazi, Communist, atheist, anti-American , etc. person.
This is starting to look like the same thing. If you don’t go in lockstep with Jim Rob on Romney, you are a RINO that must be purged.
the conservative version of rahm
dirty deeds - done dirt cheap
You really should ping people you mention. And when did GGG do the things you accuse him of? And really its Jim’s site, start your own if you don’t like his.
Oh, I don’t know. Some of my best friends are RINOs. It’s mainly the really offensive, repugnant and obnoxious RINOs that get the gaff.

Whether or not Jim decides to purge Romney supporters, the fact remains that those supporters are not conservatives.
The Mythbots won't understand, they are every bit as dense as the Rooty Rooters.

Yes, and just as relentless about promoting him.

Actually, it’s much funner to rub the Romneyites noses in his record than to purge them. And who knows, maybe a few of them will become educated and reject his RINO liberalism in the process. In short, it’s a win-win situation all around :o)
Plus, we ALREADY are forced to do what we don't want to do -- pay for the uninsured. All three options -- the current system, Masscare, Obamacare all force us to do something we don't want to do. To allow people to go without health insurance when they can expect someone else to pay the tab for their treatment IS a de facto mandate on providers and taxpayers already.
Under federal law, nearly all hospitals are required to provide a certain level of treatment to all patients who visit their emergency rooms, regardless of those patients ability to pay (Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act of 1986). Those who take advantage of emergency services and then skip out on the charges, leaving taxpayers to cover the bill is a huge problem and adds to ALL of our costs of insurance and medical care. In a very real sense, we already have universal health care in the U.S., but many are not paying their share of the cost for the services they receive. We already pay for that in more ways than one.
You are content to live with the current forced mandate while others are not. Let's just face reality and admit we've got a mandate one way or the other, but, over time, having people covered will bring down costs in the long run.

Just an FYI, not EVERYONE who does not have health insurance expects others to pay for it. Some choose alternative therapies, or do not use traditional medicine due to religious reasons. They save the money they would spend on health insurance and use it if they need it.
One person i know has medical bills averaging $500 per year. Cost of health coverage for her, if she could find a company that would insure her, is over $400 a month. She negotiates her own medical bills (including hospital ones), refuses treatment if it in not necessary and has catastrophic insurance “just in case”.
Health insurance IS NOT A RIGHT.
And as ejonesie said earlier, the Heritage foundation was an exercie. If they truly support it, then I know longer suport them.
