Just like BO’s racist Chicago church is not an isolated case among black churches, neither is what you see on that website—that’s the norm, and don’t let anyone tell you differently.
The great Civil War writer/historian Shelby Foote, a lifelong Southerner who was initailly sympathetic to the civil rights movement in the 60s, said years later that the greatest tragedy of the civil rights movement was the fact that a great many blacks have conducted themselves exactly as all the bad old racists, bigots, and segregationist predicted that they would act—so that even the most tolerant and good-hearted white person couldn’t help but wonder, at least sometimes, if those “bigoted” people were, in fact, right.
When he left the ministry, he tried to start a legitimate church congregation not so different from Dr. King. But he got nowhere because there was little market for that in the early 1970's. So whether by design to earn $$ or by a genuine change in his belief system, Rev. Wright rebranded it as a "hate whitey" cult and his enterprise took off.
I've always contended that the problem was less people like Rev. Wright who wanted to peddle this brand of ponography than the congregants (like Zer0) who sought it out.
very good point
My eldest son has just started middle school and tells me how they teach in the schools about how slavery was and how blacks were treated and yet the teachers never give all the facts to slavery around the world.
After hearing him tell me all what is said I thought if I was black I too would be an angry bitter black person.
Then the re are the black leaders who use this to promote their own agenda while making lots of money.
Everyone has been wronged at some point around the world but we never hear the French moaning about the Romans after they took Gaul or the Brits moaning about how they were treated by the vikings.
