Florida cops will move to file charges against Tiger Woods stemming from his bizarre car crash, according to a new report.

TMZ.com reported that it’s unclear whether cops will arrest Woods or refer the case to prosecutors.

The site has reported that cops were looking into whether Woods was driving under the influence.

>>This has to be a first for any State Police Agency, a Press conference to let the world know they are giving someone a ticket.

We have truly hit rock bottom...<<

Yep. The “DUI” aspect really cracks me up. Do they have a breathalyzer test? Do they have a field sobriety test? If not, what the heck is going on here.

My ex-brother in law was driving home “stupor drunk” one time about 20 years ago. He drove his 4x4 off the road and into a stump, totalling it. It was a few blocks from his home so he walked home. The next day he said he swerved to avoid a deer.

He was the only one there. There is no evidence to PROVE he was lying, case closed. The insurance company buys him a new truck.

I’m not saying Tiger is handling this whole thing the right way, but if they’d arrest anyone, they’d have to arrest the wife for assault.

This whole thing is being handled wrong. By Tiger and the police. By screwing it up they are all making it bigger than what it is, and spending more time on it than necessary.

Tiger screwed it up by lying about his wife ‘saving’ him because he didn’t want her arrested under domestic violence laws down there (must arrest). He also issued a lame confusing statement that asks for privacy. Having the police and rescue teams out there, I’m sorry, it rises to an event that is an incident that requires investigation and some public scrutiny. If he would have put out a reply that was vague but honest, like “My wife and I are having some problems, I was leaving the house and got into an accident, but we’re just going to try to work things out on our own and we’d like to have our privacy respected” - that would be much much better and not lying like his real release was. The cops look like fools and if Tiger (obviously) doesn’t want charges pressed the cops spending manpower and time with people who aren’t talking with them and have no need to talk with them, well, they look like fools that don’t have anything better to do. If they go down hard on them they’re picking on Tiger. If they are too light they’re soft on celebrites. But the thing is they don’t have to talk with the cops if they don’t want to, and given neither wants to pursue the matter legally and want to drop it, the cops need to issue the ticket to Tiger or whatever and move on.

Update : Tiger has to pay a $164.00 Traffic Ticket. That’s it. No other charges. Nothing.

“What’s the penalty for adultery in Florida?”

20 lashes by an angry scandanavian model with a 7 iron, apparently.

Driving while under the influence of a wife who wants to scratch your eyes out or beat you with a golf club? Who knew that was illegal in Florida?

The DUI would of been for driving under the influence of prescription painkillers which he clearly was taking as his wife showed the paramedics the bottles.

I was hoping for FHP to file those charges, force Tiger to cough up the truth.

The FHP are idiots. Who really wants the press over 150.00 ticket.

Quite the contrary. The media has bombarded FHP requesting info for days. Much more cost effective and expedient to end the circus via a single press conference that makes clear the case is closed, as well as the procedure and fees required to receive the final report.

No cancellation of Charlie Brown Christmas, no pats on the back to each other and a gaggle of politicians. FHP did the right thing.

Turns out Tiger will be fined $164 and get 4 points on his DL for “Careless Driving.”

They say the case is closed.

After the accident, paramedics asked his wife, Elin Nordegrin, whether the unresponsive Woods was on medication and she went into their home and brought out two bottles of prescription medicine.

My, wasn't that helpful?

You have no facts about this case unless you believe the National Enquirer and TMZ.com. These are VERY dubious sources at best. Tiger basically had an argument with his wife. Big story?? Bigger BULLSHIT!!!

Look I don’t approve of domestic violence, but whacking your husband in the head after an affair is not cause for all of this. Every little minutia of life is a police matter now. It is ridiculous! These two do not have a history of crazy behavior, in fact their life is pretty low key. She went off, over and done with. Leave them alone and let them work it out. We have a nut in Iran, N. Korea and in the White House.
If you ask me, Tiger is lucky he wasn’t neutered.

RobRoy,

Have you checked the statute of limitations on insurance fraud and drunk driving? I don’t know you but your ex-brother in law committed a felony. Or, since he is your “ex”, maybe that’s the point.

I can show you a half used bottle of Johnny Walker Black label in my cabinet. It does not mean I have been driving under the influence at any time.

“How do you know this is bull? If there are competent blood tests available, case closed, guy. “

Case closed on your Stanford-Benet I Q.

If he was drunk, down to jail he would have gone.

“But there seems to have been lies told to the responders. Not to mention some substance to the inquiry.”

Name the “substance” to the inquiry?

I hate mob rule. It elected Obama.
