Huckabee blames others for cop killings during O'Reilly interview (VIDEO)
The Examiner ^ | 12/1/2009 | Kevin Hall

He quickly pointed the finger at the parole board, the judge, and the prosecutor. He said no one spoke out against granting clemency, which does not square with the prosecutor's recollection.

His show is fine. It keeps him employed, which keeps him out of politics.

No thanks to the pastor-in-chief.

You were fine until the last part. Being a pastor does not mean you wouldn’t be a good President. As a matter of fact, it might be a big asset as you know you are held to a higher standard. This particular minister, however, I wouldn’t want to see in office.

The buck stops with Huck. He has blood on his hands and his weak and pathetic stand “that it was someone else’s responsibility to tell him he was doing wrong” is a pile of dung.

Sorry Huck — too much liberalism with your pardons and commutations. That cannot stand with anyone who calls themselves a conservative and supposes to support the law and our justice system (what is left of it).

The man makes my skin crawl. He is a self promoting creep who used his office to get a TV show and book deal. If he were in the WH you can bet he would be pushing amnesty too. Enough of compassionate conversatives like this creep. He wanted to be liked so he went easy on those who supposedly “repented.” Sorry, Huck that is not for you to decide but God in the hereafter. On earth, Clemmons should have rotted in prison.

He reminds me of Robert Tilton.

Nobody ever granted clemency. Huckabee reduced the guys sentence from 97 to 43 years.

These two sentences flatly contradict each other. A governor reducing a sentence -IS- clemency, and it stated right on the clemency certificate - the one Huckabee signed - that it made the prisoner *immediately* eligible for parole.

Not a Huck fan, but at least he didn’t run from the guy with the microphone like all those sleazy judges and liberal politicians.

The parole board which the Governor has no control over paroled him.

Who do you think appoints the Parole Board?

I’m with you. The only good thing that has come out of this is that Huckabuck’s presidential aspirations are going up in smoke.

He didn’t run from his Fox cohort’s microphone because in the end he knew he’d get a tongue bath from Bill.

"The prison system is broken. Everyone knows its broken."

I agree with you 100%. A big part of the problem is phony politicians like Huckabee. Huckabee is far from the whole problem, but he makes things a lot worse.

“Is this the same prosecutor that failed to file charges for violent felonies for 3 years? Resulting in this scum bag being released on those charges.”

Excellent point! No reasonably person, to include Mike Huckabee (I saw the interview), would say that Mike made the right decision to allow parole. However, the bottom line here is that this IS NOT ABOUT what a terrible thing he did. THIS IS ABOUT POLITICAL OPPORTUNISM to tarr an otherwise decent person because he is blocking someone elses’ favorite candidate from advancing.

We have some extreme FANATICS here on FR that support their candidate to the point of being dangerous to the political process. Romney and Palin supporters are the very worst.

I find this very distressing, because I also think highly of Sarah Palin. As it stands right now, I would vote for Huckabee before Palin in the primary. However, I would be overjoyed if EITHER won. Palin cultists here on FR would probably commit suicide if she lost in a primary to Huckabee. Than is JUST PLAIN INSANE. I don’t hold Sarah Palin responsible for this fanatatism....I think she would be equally appaled by it.

FOLKS....Support Sarah Palin because she deserves it....BUT STOP WORSHIPING HER. And STOP trashing Huckabee (her main rival for value voters) to advance Palin. It isn’t necessary and it just leaves a destroyed party.

I will likely get in trouble here for my statement. However, those who use their religion to advance their personal success are not to be trusted. They are most often like the mega-church "businessmen" or radio/TV evangelist con men. Huckabee is as much a con man as Jim Baker. Now he has been caught in a politically charged consequence of his soft headed pandering while governor.

Hopefully, this marks the end of his political career. I certainly will continue to not watch him on Fox.

“I have never liked Huckabee. I have always considered him a phony.”

That is the only true thing you have said (true in the sense they are your opinions on Huckabee - no facts)....everything else is just rhetoric.

As most others here you start out hating the guy....everything that flows from then on is biased verbage.

It is OK to dislike Huckabee. However, the political opportunism being seized by many here to advance their own candidate by denigrating Huckabee is deporable.

The three easiest way for a used car salesman to gain power
is to become a preacher, a politician or get a TV show.
