Charlie Brown Christmas is a gem! The Thanksgiving Charlie Brown.......not so much. Zero should have preempted the Rankin Bass Rudolph.........HATE the Rudolph! It’s messed up. The music makes for a good background though while I put up the tree.
Me too :) I put the Peanuts holiday ones and the claymation classics on the Ipod. Growing up there were 10 kids, 2 parents, and one TV, and these are what we watched. I love Burl Ives’ rendition of “Silver And Gold”.
But with the enormous amount of morally bankrupt, disgusting and outright stupid programming on air these days, how can anyone possibly be so critical of a wholesome thing like Peanuts? It's very puzzling.
No, he’s like Sally, Charlie’s younger sister who always has to have everything her way.
Excellent!
I think I love the Charlie Brown Christmas best for Vince Guaraldi’s jazzy piano score, like the “Skating Song”.
Obama’s handlers knew better than to go up against Monday Night Football.
Thanks for the comments. It’s interesting to see your take on his last ten years. I believe your comments on the true meaning of Christmas in the strip, is the reason it should be on, and reveals that my comments in the overall scheme of things were wrong.
I can’t wade through his presentation. It’s just annoying to me. But if it provides a good message to our children, it’s something they should be exposed to. Positive reinforcement is an important tenet of parenthood, and child development.
Thanks again.

Good for you. I’m a big nostalgia softy myself.
I think it’s a shame that there are some people that do not like Charlie Brown or the cartoons and comic strips that appear in our daily newspapers and on TV during special holidays. I think that is sad. Charlie Brown is a part of our national culture and has been a part of Americana for a very long time. Charlie Brown is one of us, he prepresents us, he represents our hopes and dreams and sometimes our failures too but even in failure he never gives up. Now whether that shows stupidity or a never give up can do attitude well you make the call.

“Bah, humbug.”
‘Say... ‘Think I’ll watch that instead.
Perhaps I should make an effort to watch it. Who knows, perhaps I would see it different than the other CB offerings I have watched.
I’m a pretty big softy when it comes watching a solid Christian plot line develop.
Overall, not a bad response for a xenophobic racist. ;-)
