PHOENIX (AP) - Since losing the presidency, John McCain has focused on his work in the Senate.
His voting record has improved greatly this legislative session missing only nine votes, or 2.5 percent of the 353 Senate roll-call votes through Saturday.
While running for the White House during the 2007 and 2008 sessions of the 110th Congress, McCain missed 420 votes, or 63.9 percent, of 657 opportunities.

His legacy will be that he sold out the mia-pows that may
still be in Laos and Vietnam.
He stood with John Kerry for goodness sakes. That mean angry face of McCain that people like to use on this site was from a meeting dealing with
mia-pows.
Senators John McCain and John Kerry played key roles and were instrumental in the 1990’s in
conducting what they termed was a comprehensive “honest pursuit of the truth” in their so-called
Investigation by the Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs. Senator McCain reported to the
American People (Pages 467-472 of the Report of the Select Committee-United States Senate-
Jan. 13, 1993) that, “no facts, no truths have been left out or diminished…What conclusions we
have drawn are fully supported by the evidence…”

Every 5th year, McCain votes WITH the conservatives.
You just have to pray that whatever is important happens in that 5th year.
I’d rather be in a foxhole with JD Hayworth than McCain. And I suspect the rest of the people in AZ are going to be feeling that way in the next year.
