Couple slips though security to crash state dinner

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Secret Service says it's looking into its own security procedures after determining that two people crashed Tuesday night's state dinner at the White House.

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan says that President Barack Obama was never in any danger. Donovan says the party crashers went through the same security screening as the 300-plus people actually invited to the dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Checking right now on this طارق الصلاحي (Tareq Salahi) character to see if any M.E. or South Asia connections, and if so, what kind. This is not really a funny story in my mind.

If you recall, I found the C-Span video of Major Nidal Malik Hasan sitting up close at a speech in D.C., in his BDUs, in front of the freaking Ambassador of ISRAEL to the United States, then disregarding security to keep seated when the even closed...and this apparantly in the time frame where he was already being watched by the FBI. --- then I posted on FR.

I do wonder about this last night.

If the guy is a Palestinian sympathizer with any kind of questionable Middle East connections, getting into such an event, they will keep it hush-hush just as they tried to the event Nidal Hasan--perhaps even armed--went to at George Washington University just a couple blocks away last summer.

In fact, the more Muslim this guy, the more the White House will spin and cover up that he got into the inner sanctum, metal detectors or no metal detectors. Because that would have been to engage in "raciallllll proooooofiling", sniff sniff. Just my thoughts. I smell something larger here.

Well,the SS may not officially know it because of burgeoning political correctness, but the jihadis are right here in the USA, and this WH event would have been a cake walk for a suicide bomber.

The jihadis can make it happen if they want to. This incident proves it, all they need is fancy dress and a Muslim name. The politically correct SS will lay right on down. Obama has the fear put right on his SS. I bet Michelle is worse than Hillery was with the SS as well. The security detail is obviously scared to death of making a mistake in engaging interlopers who have Muslim names.

This sounds like Havana. Whenever Fidel went to work, usually around 1700, his motorcade would be traveling east on 5th Avenue. The cops were out in force to stop traffic traveling north to south. There was a lead Mercedes, the Mercedes in which the Maximo Lider was traveling, and a chase car, with Interior Ministry goons in uniform, hanging out the windows on both sides. Following would be a commo van and a truck with medics/doctors/EMTS.

Obama’s SS detail seem to be edgy, under pressure, and weighed down by political correctness. A recipe for disaster.

Yep. A very soft underbelly. As they could prove (or test as the case might be) with Major Hasan and multiple times he could have been stopped, including and up to getting just feet away from the Israeli Ambassador to the USA. Political correctness tells your mind to "shut up!", when another, more naturally suspicious voice in your mind says "hey, that guy looks like a Muslim, and seems out of place and odd, I wonder what he is doing here. I think I will chat him up and see what the story is on him."

I also found this on Tareq Salahi (father is Palestian, mother is Belgian) in terms of political contributions. Seems like his a BIG Democratic contributor, but also has played the other side of the street, with about a 80/20 split in his contributions in Virginia over the years:
