I know this Sux if they ever push this through!
A few more interesting sites concerning HR 2454:

Yes, please do not have more energy efficient homes. Whatever you do keep using extra fossil fuels to heat and cool your homes. Energy efficiency is a big conspiracy, don’t fall for it, and don’t let the government force or encourage people to be use less energy. Because, if you use less energy, who knows, I might not be able to afford bomb making equipment for myself and my fellow jihadists.
According to Snopes.com, this is false.

TruthOrFiction agrees with Snopes that this is false. See:

Note that although the Mikkelsons (who run Snopes) lean slightly to the left, the folks who run TruthOrFiction are conservative Christians, dedicated to God's Truth. When Snopes and TruthOrFiction agree, you can generally take it to the bank.
Also, see this page:

If it passes, the Cap & Trade bill will be a huge disaster, and it will greatly increase the tax burden on American citizens, with no resulting environmental benefit. However, this article is not accurate.
Although an earlier version of the bill apparently proposed requiring home energy audits & a federal permit to sell a house, the version passed by the House does not do so. (It is still a very, very bad bill!)
