The Rochester stop is the only scheduled destination in New York state on her Going Rogue book signing tour. She is scheduled to be in Henrietta from 6 to 9 p.m. Fans started lining up since around 7 p.m. Friday, and the line for wristbands to gain entry to the book signing was stretching all the way down the shopping plaza Saturday morning. 1,000 wristbands were to be given out. Only people who purchased their book at Borders could get a wristband, |

You returned the book? Niiiice.
The people rushed toward her and were stopped and put back in line by the Borders staff.
She stayed until about 9:20 PM and finished the 200-300 people left in the line.

The line was inside, and they cut the line sometime after 9 pm sending the rest of us packing. We were sans wristbands, though, so Sarah still went above & beyond and without the wristband there really wasn’t a guarantee. I would imagine the employees, security AND Sarah all needed to go somewhere and put their feet up! I heard on the radio that the local stores & restaurants around the strip mall were offering discounts for the crowds in attendance, and a caller - I think on Levin’s show - remarked that Sarah did more for the economy than Obama - lol!
Anyway, thanks for posting.
“You returned the book? Niiiice.”
That’s right, I have bills and not a lot of money. I will get the book from the library instead.
Is that a problem for you?
“You returned the book? Niiiice.”
And one other thing...the $20 bill I used on a whim to buy Sarah’s book was my grocery money - not to mention Christmas is around the corner.
Had the GOP recognized that people were struggling with things like high medical bills - cutting into their basic monthly budget - we might not be facing Obamacare today.
Have a nice evening.
This must be the signing where the eggs were thrown...
Only the city and a few towns are liberal. Most of the county is conservative
To: RockyI think all this Shes dangerous stuff is getting out of hand. Tonight at the book signing in New York(I got this twittered to my twitter page from someone who was there, fortunately Sarah was already gone) some guy went to the book store and threw eggs at her books, destroying 13 of them, also hit a few people. The police caught him, he told the cops he was sorry he did not hit Sarah and he wanted to hurt her but the police let him go. Thank God Sarah packs heat and travels with armed guards. It takes ONE looney tune to try to kill her. Now with the DNC and others calling her dangerous it only takes one to actually think they mean it literally
I am in the NY Times video of the Sarah Palin tour. I stood behind the lady getting interviewed and taped it on my iPhone. See the Saturday story at about 3:25 of the 3:57 video.
Taped the interview to see how the guy would spin it, but the NY Times guy pulled out a nice innocuous quote and got it into the story line. Also, there was one cute girl doing interviews for the NY Times - though she didn’t know shorthand - that was very nice, almost bordering on hot.
Sarah really was nice to all the people there. This book tour is an amazing thing.
Good article, read More at the LinkPalin fans turn out in droves for autograph sessionSunday, November 22, 2009A college student home for the weekend might expect a warm bed and a hot meal.
That had to wait for Addie Witt, who drove east Friday night from Ohio's Otterbein College to join her father, Kerry Witt, on a chilly parking lot sleepover next to the cinder block wall of a Sam's Club in Washington County.
Cocooned in a sleeping bag and folding chair, she was near the front of a crowd that would grow to more than 1,500 people who gathered to get a glimpse of and autograph from Sarah Palin, the former governor, current author, and past -- and perhaps future -- candidate for national office.
The father and daughter thought their cold night was worth it to boost their chances of being among those who would have Mrs. Palin autograph their copies of "Going Rogue," the memoir already soaring on best-seller lists in the first hours of a three-week 14-city book tour.
Mrs. Palin's appearance yesterday at the big box store in South Strabane came just a little more than a year after she had been introduced to Pennsylvanians at nearby Consol Energy Park, just after Sen. John McCain made her a national figure by choosing her as the Republican vice-presidential nominee. The patient but enthusiastic crowd outside Sam's Club attested to the endurance of the celebrity status that has only grown since that Labor Day weekend.

They let him go? At the very least; it sounds like there was some property damage involved here...
At 9 AM Saturday the Borders book store opened and the employees began handing out wristbands which my girlfriend and I received by 10 AM. We returned to the store at 5PM and saw Governor Palin arrive at around 5:30. A little after 7 PM I met Palin, had a brief chat, got my book signed and moved on so that my girlfriend could have her moment.
We saw and said hello to Palins Aunt Katy who was holding the Governors son Trig while watching over her daughter Piper. Then by 7:30 PM we were in the car and back on the road heading home feeling very satisfied about what we had done. At 2:30 AM Sunday we arrived back in New York City after driving a total of over 730 miles and roughly 35 hours later with our signed copies of Going Rogue.
This is a picture from a local paper that captured me as the line started to move shortly after 9 AM Saturday (Im on the left in the red jacket).
The last line from the article:
About 5 p.m. Palin tweeted on Twitter: In Rochester NY now; Piper & my Dad join us here, so more FUN arrives!Folks @ these events quote those 2 from the book more than me! Luv it!She's pretty cool!

Golly and horrors.
She spelled “Love” like a teenager.
Clearly not ready for the national stage for for years and years and years and years and years and years......
You've been self punked.
She’ll be having Thanksgiving Dinner at relatives in my town and will stay in the area through the weekend.
The post was SATIRICAL-poking at the ridiculous stretches made by anti-Palinites here and elsewhere.
I’m a huge Sarah Palin fan and supporter.
Sorry, I should have been more obvious in my sarcasm, I guess....
Well that’s downright cool!
Wave to her for us if you see her
Re reading I get it.
*Slapping forehead*
I was hoping to be invited over for turkey but no invitation has yet arrived... :( LOL But I’ll get to see her at some point.
