C-SPAN 2 is carrying the Senate floor debate live this afternoon.
The Democrats control the floor right now. Earlier, Republican Senators Judd Gregg, Kit Bond, Jeff Sessions and David Vitter gave good speeches and dialogues on the budget-busting effects of ObamaCare.
Maria Cantwell is speaking now. Mary Landrieu is excpected to speak shortly.
The cloture vote is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST tonight.

How can they get 60 without Senator Byrd? I thought he was bed ridden? Byrd was on the Senate floor as recently as Wednesday for the celebration of his record-breaking congressional tenure.

You’re on my list, sonic, to contact if I ever run into anyone interested in more than keyboarding, bombast and swagger. But so far, nobody wants to do what one does to make that omelet. A few Galters here and there. The rest are scared of the IRS or the financial repercussions. They love their country but they love their stuff more. Their stuff and the money they make, even if half of it goes to looters who share it with moochers who are sucking the life out of America.
Too many Dagnys, not enough Friscos, and hardly ANY Ragnars. :(

Everyone is running around the threads screaming—it’s over! when it is just beginning. It’s almost a blessing that the new mammogram and pap test guidelines were released this week. Everyone knows a woman who has been affected by cancer and whose life was saved with these screening tests. Barry's Deathcare is beginning to hit home now and people are waking up. Just my opinion, of course.

Theres a ways to go. The bills have to be reconciled, then I think voted on again. And, surely someone is going to challenge the constitutionality of this mess.
