“People need to be reminded that Democrats took over congress in 2006, not 2008. This is ALL theirs.”

Before then. The RINO’s led by McCain gutted the Republican effort to address any issues in 2005. This is the consequences of the “Big Tent” philosophy. The Marxists have no big tent.
Health Savings Accounts, social security, real judges, and medical reform all died way back then.

I’m surprised that “Bush” isn’t a choice.

Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, RINOs and the Democrats are responsible, John McCain included.

We’re all to blame -

Governments have been subsidizing house purchases since WW1, when everyone who could afford a home had one we started enabling those who could not.

The Fed for it’s low-rate policy as the bubble was growing - like what did they think was .

The banks for lax “no-money-dwon” lending standards, creation and distribution of shell-game toxic instruments, and for incredibly faulty risk management.

The general population for a greedy “must-have” attitude and for voting for politician based on short-term pork rather than sound long-term economic policy.

This list goes on and on, there is enough blame to go around several layers thick on all of us. Saying Democrat or Republican is a false choice. But regarding solutions, when we say “sound long term economic policy” we are obviously NOT talking about the current collection of Dumocrats.
