High tuition prices? Thank the feds who subsidized student loans for years and years.

Although the protesters emphasized the impact the new fees would have on the neediest students, about 30 percent of undergraduates will pay no fees at all. That's because the university's Blue and Gold program covers tuition, though not living expenses, for students from families earning up to $70,000 - just raised from $60,000

What is really funny is these Socialist Turds all voted for "O"

And most have probably marched in support of illegal aliens staying here and receiving benefits.

Screw 'em. Instead of waiting till their first paycheck before realizing it was all a lie, they are getting an education in liberalism early.

LOL!
It’s just a bunch of children having a party. I remember similar parties, ostensibly about the Vietnam War, at Penn State circa 1971. Now, if this was a riot featuring the tuition-paying PARENTS of that faction of the students who actually pay full tuition, then I would be impressed.

As long as the government is subsidizing the cost of a college education the cost will continue to rise.

Anytime the government distorts the free market prices go up, it like a natural law practically.

There are going to be massive defaults on the student loans just as there were on subsidized mortgages. Kids can’t graduate with 50K of debt and pay off those loans making entry level salaries.

I’m not really taking sides here. I just see it as symbolic of the huge dysfunctional mess that California has become.

Reduce the tuition for science (the real ones) and engineering students to zero and make the ‘ethnic studies’ etc. students pay for it ALL. After all, the latter will be sponging off the former for the rest of their lives.

they are promoting a “general strike” on California university campuses this week. The 1960’s just never seem to end for these people.

As a parent of a SDSU student, out of state who is paying full freight for her education there, I have to say that I am not happy about this proposed increase.

Especially in light of the fact that there are forced “furlough” days which means the teachers cannot have contact with the students.

That means that thought I am paying for a full week of classes, she is getting only 2/3 of those classes each week.

The tuition increase was 10% last year. For out of state the fees went from $342 to $372 per credit over and above the base fees of $2,458 per semester.

A further increase may very well price her out of that school.
