Notice the actual trend so far is above the "without recovery plan" curve.....

.....about the same distance that the "with recovery plan" is below it.

They were 180 degrees out of phase from reality. Their actions had the opposite effect as planned. Of course, the RATS were warned and they didn't listen.

Mammograms? You don’t need them.

I have private insurance and that's what my company told me. Just because I'm a man. I have to rely on hourly self exams which my employer has the unmitigated gall to try and discourage.

"849 billion divided by 31 million is about $27,000 per person.$2700/year/person. Seems a little high when you are in charge of rationing who receives care and what you pay doctors, hospitals and drug companies."

I just ran the same math, then it occurred to me: this is probably the net cost after Medicare is cut by half a trillion dollars over the same period, which is part of this legislation.

Which means the real cost--even if you accept the CBO's numbers--is closer to $1.4 trillion. That's $1.4 trillion to do two things: (1) remove health care funding from seniors, who use it, and (2) give it to the generally youthful uninsured, who have so little use for health insurance that they see no reason to pay for it themselves, currently.

This does not add up.

The look on Biden’s face alone portrays the BS nature of Reid’s Senate version. “God, if the American people fully figure out how bad we are planning to frak their lives, they will mobilize and lynch us.”

“How the $&*!@% can Reid bring it to the floor when there is NO BILL ?!

My thoughts, exactly! What bill? Is it drawn up on napkins or what? Where is it? where is the transparency? Where will it be posted for 72 hours?

I think that under the Reid proposition (secret bill soon under debate), that “31 million Americans” represents the total number of living persons in this country (excluding illegal aliens) with any capacity to access whatever putative vestige of health care remains in 2019.

Some rhetorical musings.....Did the CBO do a cost estimate WITHOUT the 3 years of advance tax collections? Did they adjust for the myriad of people/companies that will legitimately adjust their income downward to lower the tax paid? Etc....Maybe we should bombard the CBO to disclose the guidelines they were given to come up with the numbers they did.

Maybe they should *always* disclose how they do their math???

If anyone lives in Nebraska, Arkansas, or Louisiana, PLEASE call senators Nelson, Lincoln, Pryor and Landrieu immediately and tell them NOT to proceed on the bill - vote NO on cloture. This bill is a monstrosity and, contrary to what Senator Nelson says, it will not get better by amending it.

That’s about the cost of the war in Iraq so far, isn’t it?

Why do they only discuss the 10 year cost? Why not the 30 year or 50 year cost of it? Even if it is 800 billion for 10 years, which is quite expensive, why not discuss how this will be “affordable” for the rest of time.

A stack of cash that high would pose a navigational threat to the International Space Station. Geeesh, THREE TIMES 849bil IS A LOT OF MONEY!
