Totally bizarre. For me, if there has been one great thing about multiculturalism it has been the opportunity to eat so many different cuisines.

This seems like a pointless move, good for nationalist symbolism but not much else. All those doner kebap and falafel shops wouldn’t exist if people weren’t eating that stuff. The problem with Muslims is not their food - a lot of middle eastern food is very good - it’s their culture and religion’s apparent incompatability with the modern western world.
