Hello, I am the Moderator who excerpted this article yesterday morning. If click on the link "history" next to my name, it gives the reason--"NYP." The article was excerpted because it is from the New York Post. The New York Post is on the Updated FR Excerpt and Link Only or Deny Posting List due to Copyright Complaints.

Admittedly, I only eyeballed it and the FR forum software butchered the excerpt, but seeing that I excerpt on average more than a dozen articles a day for various reasons I trusted my judgment.

What the heck, you know my Boss, so I ran the numbers . . . you posted 291 words of a 528-word article. It exceeds 50% of the original, so my judgment was correct. Please do not post more than 50% of any article governed by the excerpt-only portion of the master list. Please do not explain the rules to me or the Boss. He made them. And if you require an immediate response or clarifiaction, please click "Report Abuse" instead of ordering-around other Mods who were not involved in the original decision.

The New York Post doesn’t give a damn about how much of their articles get posted here, they only want those articles read on their website because of the insane amount of advertisements on their web pages.
