President Barack Obama said the September 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other Guantanamo Bay detainees will be put on trial in New York City. Speaking in Tokyo, Mr Obama said Mohammed, the self-proclaimed organiser of the al-Qaeda terrorist plot that killed almost 3,000 people in 2001, would face "exacting" US justice.
Bringing such notorious suspects to US soil to face trial would be a key step in Mr Obama's plan to close the US detention centre at Guantanamo Bay.
Mr Obama initially planned to close the centre at the US naval base on Cuba by Jan 22 next year, but his administration is no longer expected to meet that deadline.
It is also a major legal and political test of Mr Obama's overall approach to terrorism. If the case suffers legal setbacks, the administration will face second-guessing from those who never wanted it in a civilian courtroom.

The New York case may force the court system to confront a host of difficult legal issues surrounding counter-terrorism programmes begun after the 2001 attacks, including the harsh interrogation techniques once used on some of the suspects while in CIA custody. The most severe method - waterboarding, or simulated drowning - was used on Mohammed 183 times in 2003, before the practice was banned.... It's up to you, New York, New York!

This is fitting. Hold the trial in NYC, one of the places which helped put Obama in the Oval Office.
I hate KSM and would love to see the guy die, but if NYers cannot see the clownish behavior of their guy after this, nothing will open their eyes. Let them live with this.
They'll probably hire the prosecution team that tried OJ (OOOOOoooo...they were so good, weren't they?).
After all, there are thousands upon thousands of islamic muslims in NYC that were dancing in the street when the Towers and 3,000+ lives were destroyed by this terrorist. I'm sure they can find a completely islamic muslim jury that will give him his just deserts.
And if you think the trial will make you sick to your stomach....just wait for the Hero's Reception at the Mosque House after he is declared innocent and without fault by a jury of his peers.
Heck....he'll even get to dance with the first muslim lady...after all, they look quite alike, don't they?
I called the White House and left my message. I said to the person answering the phone...How much Joy does the President get by continuing to terrorize Americans? He chuckled. Yes, I let him have it! I let him know it’s beyond outrage it’s insane to bring the terrorists to the city they attacked, and be given American citizen rights!. Why not flash a big neon sign in New York to the terrorists, come attack the U.S. and we will give you U.S. citizen rights. Then I ask the man on the phone, how is it you find yourself able to work for a terrorist?
I can come to no other conclusion. KSM, in a civilian court, has what appears to be a very strong defense. I have to think he’s going to walk, and I have to think BHO knows it.

Now this individual, pictured below on the left of the photo, is using him as his own political pawn and tool to justify civilian court for those whose very appearance there will be a travesty. Disgusting.

And what happens when you get death threats and they tell you they know where you live and they know where your children are and where your parents are? You think Obama's going to offer you protection from Al Queda operatives who will kill you and your children and your parents and your cousins if you don't vote to acquit?
You think these terrorists are not willing to resort to violence of all kinds to protect their leaders and to further their jihadist cause?
Yeah you might sit on the jury, but then you might have second thoughts once you realize the cost.
