If 3,900 people died from H1N1 you think it isn't a reason to be concerned .

If 540 children died from H1N1 it isn't a reason to be concerned .

If the deaths grow & grow would you be concerned ?

Probably Not ....

Seasonal flu usually kills those over 85 with preexisting conditions .

So why should you care that healthy people have died from H1N1 ?

You Don't , I Get It ....

3,900 (so far) is 900 more than died on 9/11.

Fortunately we don’t have the nationwide economic and psychological chaos that resulted from that event.

It’s still a shame.

I agree with your concern. Some posters are seeing a conspiracy and hype but I see a mystery. This flu can kill randomly. I see there is some tendancy for pregnant women and perhaps children but it seems that everyone is at risk. Most people have flu symptoms for a few days and recover. But a reasonable number require hospitalization while a smaller number die, sometimes very quickly.

I object to the rationing program. Who put the government in charge of vaccines? I want a vaccine. I especially want a vaccine for my wife who seems to catch colds and flus with more intensity than others. I cannot buy a vaccine. The vaccine is distributed to clinics who will only give the vaccine to its priority group (ages 1-24, pregnant women, and adults with respitory problems). The rationing of this vaccine is a precursor of government health care.

"If the deaths grow & grow would you be concerned ?"

So I should worry about "if's" now? Please. The cdc states "About 36,000 Americans die on average per year from the complications of flu."

3900 people dying from piggy flu in 6 months is no cause for concern, being that 18000 people die from the regular flu, 6 months, of an average year.

If you want to panic, go ahead. Just don't expect everyone else to go along for the ride.
