I am not throwing in any towel ever. I figured it was going to pass the House after Pelosi passed Cap and Trade this summer.
I still have to wonder how many of the Freshman seats the Dems won by slim margins were won because of ACORN voter fraud. NJ showed us how to cut down on voter fraud by deploying 700 lawyers throughout the state — we need to do that in key House districts.
The fight is on in the Senate where we have always stood a better chance to defeat the bill. They are a whole group of moderates who will not support the public option.
Two hours ago they wouldn't. Ask them tomorrow, and I think you'll get a different answer. i.e., past statements may not be indicative of future performance. I hope you're right, but I think when the chips are down and votes need to be cast, there will be a whole different dynamic. With enough pressure from the White House and the Dem leadership, I'm sure they'll find a way to have a "sudden" change of heart.
