All Tea Party members should mobilize and melt the phone lines.

This bill will pass tonight.

Our freedom will be lost unless we decide to use whatever means is required to restore our liberty.

Thank You Congressman Glenn Nye for voting no!
If congress wasn’t trying for a power grab (which I assume they will have gotten unfortunately by tonight)and if their soul issue was to cover the uninsured then the bill would not be 1990 pages long. A very simple bill offering insurance for uninsured, people who lost their insurance and have preexisting conditions could have been written. To the Left: You might think you have won but in the end you will know, you lost!

Rep. Thaddeus McCotter said “FreeRepublic”.

Ok, not really, but it was funny.

It still has to pass the Senate.
It’s not over yet

What is your point?

Defeating in the house is still a better outcome.

Yes it does and the Senate has its own version. I have no idea how they compare.

Yes, but they will pass it there too.

Tyrants do not care what we think. Besides the very fact that they are trying to pass this bill says alot about where we are as a nation.

Let the ammendment fail. The entire health care bill will be dead if abortion is funded in the house version. The average American citizen does not want to be paying for the butchery.

Harry Truman pushed full-blown single payer in the early 50s.

We’re a LONG way from this thing becoming law. There will be several more votes on several different variations of the bill. It’s definitely not a done deal.

You can still get through to Sanchez’s office. Tell her to read Betsy McCaughley’s op-ed in today’s WSJ.

There’s a small sentence saying that Congress CAN participate in govt healthcare if they WANT to.

Absolutely right. The House has to get re-elected every two years and they are more closely connected to their constituents (in theory at least), whereas the Senate are only up for re-election every 6 years and are so out of touch and don’t give a good g-d what their “constituency” wants.

And even if it gets through the Senate, it is destined to proceed right on to the Supreme Court. Although its likely the dems will keep collecting the taxes on it for their little slush fund.
