To: St. Louis Conservative

Not every Republican is pro-life so I’m not sure if either the amendment passes or whether the pro-life Dems will agree to vote for Pelosi-Care even if the amendment is defeated.

This creates a real conflict because you know groups like NOW, PP, NARAL, RTL groups, etc. are watching and taking notes.

I think the best position for Republicans is to support the amendment but allow party members to vote their consciences. In the end, this vote may not matter anyway.

I certainly support the amendment in principle, but I think anything and everything has to be done and/or considered in order to sink ObamaCare. That means being crass and cynical if necessary.
