Rangel calling something an ethics violation? Rangel claiming "shame" on Boehner?

Boehner just made a fool of Rangel. He asked if Rangel could guarantee that the Stupak amendment barring federal funds for abortion would be in the final bill. Rangel said he could not. Then he asked Rangel if he personally would guarantee he would vote to keep the Stupak admendment in the bill. Rangel said no. Boehner then said that “this is a sham” to get votes and that any promise on the Stupak amendment is meaningless. Rangel was left dumbfounded.

Rangel, bewildered in response to Boehner’s request for a commitment to Stupak’s abortion ammendment, complained:

“Have you ever got a guarantee [from any member of Congress]?”

Speaks volumes.
