Messages aside, I watched V with great expectations, but found it deathly dull.

It can be dull when 2 hours of entertainment are packed into 4 or more hours.

Where is the reality TV show portraying the governance tactics of the White Crib that shows monkeys fornicating with footballs? This is not racist even thought the football's complexion is dark and as far as the use of monkeys, well, they are just so darned cute.

Blacklisted? Dark day of "McCarthyism" indeed!
(1983--I remember watching it as a dopey high school sophomore. The leader of the aliens went on to be George Costanza's boss Mr. Wilhelm.)

I doubt The O watched V.
He was probably watching a TIVO of a TV special — about himself.

Okay, maybe that does sound kind of familiar. Next, Hannity highlights a scene in which an attractive, smooth-talking V representative sits down for an interview:
V: Be sure not to ask anything that would paint us in a negative light.
HOST: Excuse me?
V: Dont ask any questions that would portray us negatively.
HOST: This is just how its done. I swear Ill be fair.
V: Youll need to be more than fair if you want to proceed. We cant be seen in a negative light
We want to provide complete medical services to all.
HOST: Youre talking about universal healthcare.
V: I believe thats what you call it, yes.
That must have hit home with the Hope-and-Changers.

Obama pulling strings to censor network television, making the parallel between himself and the objectionable sci-fi series even more credible. This will go mainly unnoticed by the MSM.

Dang Internet.
Thousands of torrents of V have been downloaded. Additional thousands of newsgroup downloads have also occurred.

I thought the first episode was well done. It's clearly about totalitarian regimes and how people can be sucked into supporting a central authority without fully understanding what they are agreeing to. This an old story that could have been told in the 1930's, the 1980's, or today.
It's not about Obama -- but the fact that Obama fits into that old story line so incredibly well is all you really need to know. America has turned from the path. That old book by Sinclar Lewis "It can't happen here"? Well, you're watching it, whether your TV is on or not.
