Military officials say the suspected shooter at Fort Hood was a psychiatrist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center for six years before being transferred to the Texas base in July. The officials had access to Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan's military record. They said he received a poor performance evaluation while at Walter Reed.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because military records are confidential.
The Virginia-born soldier was single with no children. He was 39 years old.
He is a graduate of Virginia Tech University, where he was a member of the ROTC and earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry in 1997. He received his medical degree from the military's Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md., in 2001. At Walter Reed, he did his internship, residency and a fellowship.

Ha! If you were watching Shep at the top of the hour, he was talking to a retired colonel who worked with Hasan at Ft. Hood. He said Hasan made numerous statements against the wars, hoped that Obama would bring the troops home after election, applauded the jihadist in Arkansas that killed that the recruiter and fellow officers heard this and verbally reprimanded him. This guy says the same things that the Left is saying about the war.
I believe there is still one guy in custody, the one who was arrested at the golf course.
The choice we have for governor in Texas. This old wind bag or Mr. Good Hair. He was on saying nine people were dead when every network in the world were reporting twelve were confirmed dead. He’s more interested in making sure he looks good.
Wow. Notice the “RELIGION” box on that form? (upper right) “NO-REL-PREF.” “No religion preferred?” Interesting.

They guy shot until he ran out of ammo. The other ones with drawn weapons were civilian security employed by Ft. Hood. It ain’t easy gettin’a weapon on that post. Which makes me wonder how he got them one. Could one of his “paitents” worked in a weapons area?
The major was a regular at a shooting range I have a partner with. He used a FN 5.7 x 28 pistol. He was at the range this weekend and was very adept at shooting targets at 100 yards.
The bad eval had nothing to do with it. I read that he had just recently been promoted to major.
I guess there are conflicing or outdated stories still floating around. I heard “conclusively” an hour ago on a TV channel that the other two had been cleared and released, “mistaken identity.” That is, people running, acting “suspiciously” being reported in the panic, and then being arrested. Or my guess, that some folks might have pulled out CCW pistols (I know, you “can’t” on base), and were arrested quickly after many witnesses said, “That guy had a pistol too!”
Total conjecture on my part. But I did hear “conclusively” FWIW that the other two were released. Can’t remember which channel, I was flipping between the MSMs.
Excellent point...
I missed your sarcasm tag.
Yep, I’m telling you! There is a lot more to this story!
I don’t know if they still do it.
I remember similar questions as yours as well but I got out in the early 70’s
Another person picked up for questioning according to Sheppie.
If that’s true, and you’re not a lying POS troll, then you need to call your local FBI and report this intel.
Ok normally it would but truthfully I don’t care in this instance given what this piece of crap did.
They sure are doing a good job did you notice no religious preference on his record?
Wish I could find the post from a Freeper earlier today who right off the bat said something about this attack having a connection to Va. Tech - (something like they all do)...as if there is some Muslim Mosque connection near Va. TEch? (Think the poster was suspecting even before we knew the facts that the shooter (or shooters) were Muslim.
Look on post 73 you can click on his record he had no religious preference yet reports from relatives are saying he was always a Muslim.
Lie a little???
