I feel good about this one.

Naaaa....
With 39% of the vote counted, Hoffman is only down by 5%.
(50% - 45%).
Given these are only the larger cities in a widely rural area, and many districts have stated they won’t have results until morning, Hoffman is in good shape.

Really! Well, that is encouraging. Rove is very knowledgeable about these voting districts, so I give his opinion on this a lot of credence.
To: pabianice
I really hope Hoffman wins, but even if he doesn’t it’s not the end of the world — he defeated the lib who really needed to be beaten, so the nightmare scenario has been avoided.
But let’s keep the faith that the votes will come in. . .

A poster earlier said 4 precincts were down. It’ll be tomorrow before they tally.

Sheppie is in shock...he needs a cocktail bad. In his earlier report he was hoping that Daggett would surge and then Shannon told him he had conceded. Poor Shep.

Hasn’t been closer than 5 all night so far.
Looks like this will boil down to which districts are outstanding.
D up by 4.5% now.

The dems will say this is a referendem on the Palin wing of the party if Hoffman losesWell, I'm a strong Palin supporter, but a good post-mortem on this race will be very important.
