85 % of Essex is in, Corzine’ll get about another 10 k out of there. Mercer’s just starting to come in, he’ll pick up about another 30,000 there. Christie’s up by 100k at the moment.

From what I hear- Owens hit Hoffman with a massive negative TV commercial blitz in the last few days. They were attacking him like he was the anti-Christ. I'm in the same TV market and the ads weren't great. They basically tried to associate Hoffman with the effort to privatize social security because he took money from one of these groups.

I am really surprised about what is going on in NY-23I'm not.
Although RINO-killing is popular around here, the reality of local Republican politics is much more complicated that a slogan can describe.
RINOs are a big part of the picture except in Jesusland. Trucons have to demonstrate they can win races like this one. It was a perfect test for them.
Maybe Hoffman will come back, but it doesn't look good.

I am really surprised about what is going on in NY-23. I thought Hoffman had this election in the bag.I am too... yikes. Can any upstate NYers help us out here? Hopefully RED areas will report in last?
'RAT Ed Rendell was just on with Cavuto on the Fox Business Network... Rendell seemed awfully confident of NY-23.
Bloomberg having trouble in NYC... yikes, what's going on??

Trucons have to demonstrate they can win races like this one. It was a perfect test for them. As a third party with another person listed as 'R' on the ballot? I don't think that's a reasonable test.

Corzine 45%

Hoffman down 4000 with 29% in.
To: GVnana
I read this AM that turnout in Salem was quite lackluster. It might have picked up during the day, but if it remained low, that would tend to favor Christie because it means that only the very passionate were bothering to come out and I can’t imagine that many people being passionate to vote for Corzine.

Not Fox yet.
Reminds me of their refusal to call Ohio for Bush in 2004 when he had clearly won.
Just weird.
