was anyone else offered the option of voting on a machine or paper ballot?
I was, I always get a paper ballot. I am a computer hardware guy by trade, and I don't trust them dang computers.
we had no option, we only got a paper ballot in Fairfax Co. near Merrifield. i asked why we were going back to the dark ages.
I was in Chantilly/Dulles. the lady in front of me took the paper; I didn’t see anyone else take it while I was there.
In Fairfax County, I was handed a paper ballot, then I asked if I could use the electronic ballot. No problem. They kept the paper ballot and sent me to the machine.
No option here in Fairfax. Paper ballot only, which is a real change. I was #215 at 11AM. I checked back at 1:45 and the number was 615 plus there are 180 absentee ballots out of a total of 2,500 registered voters. So turnout is pretty good when you consider the after work rush.
