Follow those races here. Report turnout, exit polls etc. as they happen..
From what I know, the northern part of your state is rather liberal in registration and voting (Obama last time) more and more that socialist way, so the fact that you dont see an intense turnout there will bode well for the Conservative Republicans. Eagles up! Good luck!
Voted this a.m. in Hayes, VA for McBollinelli!
I had to show ID AND recite my full name and address.
Thanks for the live thread.
My predictions:
NJ Governor - Corzine by 1%
VA Governor - McDonnell by 9%
NY23 - Hoffman by 5%
Corzine will win (fraudulently) by enough votes to avoid a mandated runoff.
Take these with a grain of salt; I predicted McCain would win. :)

BUMP! Also worthy of watching is the Maine Prop 1 (Gay marriage) referendum.
I have some Maine friends on Facebook and it’s all I can do not to comment on their specious pro-gay-marriage status updates. BARF!
I think we should infight about where we're supposed to do our infighting.

“Is that before or after fraudulent votes are tabulated? “
Before.
After, -2
“NJ Governor - Corzine by 1%”
I’ve predicted by a larger margin for Corzine. I wonder how many hidden boxes of “absentee ballots” the dems have in reserve in case it’s a close vote.
I hadn't considered that - there are Deeds signs all over Spotsylvania County, but only a couple in yards - the rest are on the side of the road. McDonnell signs are EVERYWHERE.
Prediction:
NJ governor race turns into a replay of the Franken-Coleman fiasco in Minnesota.
Dear Lord,
If it is Your Will, I pray that God-fearing Conservatives are elected into office today and with that will begin a crusade to once and for all, stop the galloping socialism enacted by the corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisle, bent on destroying this great country; be with the voters as they travel to and from the polling locations; and I pray that any fraudulent activities are identified early and not be allowed to influence the beginning of this Conservative Rebellion.
In your Holy and Precious Name, Amen.
Interesting Corner post from a column piece about McDonnell...it’s something that is important to note. I am socially conservative, but the economy should be the focus of anybody running while deflecting any abortion counter-attacks etc.:
“McDonnell is socially and economically very conservative, but he has dominated the race by focusing on mainstream issues such as transportation, taxes and the economy. Meanwhile, Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have been working overtime to recast the Democrats as big spenders more committed to an ideological agenda than setting the country right. As a result, independents the same voters who delivered the election for Obama are now flocking to the Republicans. McDonnell beats Democrat Creigh Deeds among independents by 2-1.”
pen?
My guess:
NJ: Christie 48-45-7
NY: Hoffman 51-45-4 (Scozzy will get a few early votes)
VA: McDonnell 56-44
Just one note: that’s before you count the ballot boxes that will be found stuffed in Democrat operatives’ cars in New Jersey.
I am saying McDonnell by +10, and it will be a GOP sweep. I have not heard a lot of love for Deeds.
Bump from my blackberry
I forgot about a run-off. Those things tend to happen in these sorts of races, so even if Corzine loses, we still could have a run-off. Hopefully he loses big.
There is no fervent support for creigh deeds, the dem, ANYWHERE up here. where my daughter goes to HS is a huge liberal enclave that was blanketed with Obama signs last year that they didn’t take DOWN til spring at least, and there was maybe ONE deeds sign this time. no fervor for deeds, no big dem turnout. we are feeling pretty confident here in VA. i just hope that NJ surprises me and pulls this out for the pubs.
Here’s hoping the whole trifecta (and other races - let’s not forget) are victories for the Conservative movement!
(I realize Christie isn’t all that conservative, but for NJ standards he might as well be Calvin Coolidge - and still serves as a referendum on Obama.)
