Follow those races here. Report turnout, exit polls etc. as they happen..
The NY and NJ races will be litigated into dem victories after the fact just like Franklin in MN
.
That’s my fear.
Virginia ping.
The idiots I work for have me away from the keyboard most of the day. But I’ll check in when I can.
#171 at my precinct in Chesterfield around 8:00 a.m. Pretty good for an off year.
Praying this morning that any evil schemes of the Democrats will be exposed quickly and that Victory will be ours today!
I was in Canastota NY recently and saw lots of Hoffman signs and only a couple of Owens signs. I live pretty close to district 23 and everyone I know who lives in district 23 is voting for Hoffman.
Voted for McDonnell, Bolling, Cuccinelli, my Repub. delegate and against a bond issue in western Fairfax County, VA this morning.
I slept in and didn’t get there until about 6:45, 49th person to vote. The polling place had a good number of signs from the four Republican campaigns and one lone Deeds sign.
Both parties were there handing out sample ballots. The Republicans were much more organized than when I passed out sample ballots there for the ‘08 races.
Deeds signage has picked up on my commuting route through liberal infested areas of Fairfax and in to Alexandria, but McDonnell signs still outnumber Deeds.
There are still a lot of cars running around northern Virginia with Obama stickers, but very, very few of those have added Deeds stickers. McDonnell-Bolling-Cuccinelli are way ahead on bumper sticker wars here.
Prediction: McDonnell carries Fairfax County, which means he carries VA by something quite a bit more than 10 points.
Good news Lily, thanks for the update!
Just wondering.... ;-)
Good luck. Sounds like a good thread. Hope you can keep it from getting hijacked!
I moved recently. This is my first time voting in person in Central NJ. About 7am the school parking lot was half full, people coming and going, but no wait. They did not ask for any ID, just a signature with a sample of my signature next to the line that I could have copied. The voting machine was all electronic, no paper receipt. Knowing how corrupt NJ is don’t have a good feeling about all this, especially for close elections. Unless Christie wins by 10% he’s probably lost.
agreeing with you in prayer
For checking back every 30 minutes or so. I’m in china, so I guess I’ll be up all night.
The PPP poll looked good for NJ yesterday...
But not these two (granted, they are left-leaning):
“A Quinnipiac University poll released today showed Republican candidate Chris Christie winning with 42 percent of the vote, with Democratic incumbent Jon Corzine trailing him at 40 percent, the New Jersey Star-Ledger reports. The difference falls within the poll’s 2.5 percent margin of error. Independent candidate Chris Daggett carried 12 percent of the vote.
Meanwhile, a Fairleigh Dickinson University poll also released today also showed Corzine winning with 43 percent of the vote while Christie trailed at 41 percent — a difference within this poll’s 3 percent margin of error. Daggett stood at 8 percent.”
It could be a close one, so if you live there, vote. :)
“NJ Gov - Christie by 2
Va. Gov - McDonnell by 9
NY23 - Hoffman by 8 ”
NJ Gov - Christie by 4
Va Gov - McDonnell by 14
NY23 - Hoffman by 9
Voted just before 7 am in Fairfax Co. Husband and i and our 18 yo FIRST TIME VOTING son, 3 for Mcdonnell/bolling/cuccinelli/merola. we were #s 41,42, 43. light turnout, all for the best up here in Obamalandia.
Hoffman is leading in Southern New Jersey? Man, it’s going to be a landslide! : )
(I think you meant that Christie is leading in South Jersey.)
Glad we have a live thread. Over at NRO there is some possible concern in NY-23 that too many Republicans voted early - more than a week ago - for Dede the traitor.
California 10 too, is that today??
There are state amendments on ballot in Texas and in Maine or New Hampshire I think.
yeah, goofed there...lol.
Oh, and we were astounded to be given a paper ballot and pen to fill in the circles to vote. We have voted electronically for the past i don’t know how many elections, so that was weird.
“They did not ask for any ID”
That’s a shame! I believe that all states should ask for ID when you vote.
I’m very certain that Hoffman and McDonnell will win; it’s Christie I’m worried about.
