“Losing this one fcking sucks. Third party candidates suck.”

No, Leftist socialist democrats running as republicans sucks.

If this race ends up a dem win, you have no one to blame BUT the republistupids.

also, according to Kos at least, this Owens guy is fairly conservative for a dem. It’s not like some raging liberal is going to win.

I have to admit from what I’ve seen of Doug he’s not exactly the most charismatic guy. Reminds me of Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs. A little creepy.

Still, 23% was the highest he’d registered as of 10/22 before she endorsed him. Now he’s at least at 45% and perhaps higher in around 10 days. i don’t see how you say she’s to blame if he loses. It’s not like DeDe was a sure winner. She was -5 in the last poll before the endorsement and falling. Owens was likely to win this thing from the get go.

Scozzafava endorsing the dem and the backroom deal the WH made to get her to do that has probably affected things as well.

Also, I wonder how many early votes already went for her that might have wanted to change but it was too late.

Still the gap appears to be closing and they say they have a whole bunch of votes outstanding and impounded.

They should have a runoff between the two of them in 2 weeks.

Still, this is a win for conservatism.

The MSM will, still, hype up all of the “D” wins, no matter who they are and where they are. The “D’s” will probably win the special Congressional election in California, and there will be plenty of “D” wins in state races and in local races, such as mayoral races, city councilor races, school committee races, etc. The MSM “goes goofy”, in order to continuously make President Obama and all other leftist politicians look good.

Over 1M GOP votes cast in Virginia and NJ both. Not yet sure Corzine will get Obama to 1M votes in NJ, that will be close.

‘mwatching the chiron on Fox and the gap is widening. Hoffman has gone from about a 2500 deficit to a 3700 deficit with 63% in over the last 20 mins or so.

What are you guys looking at?

Why would they be? The rest of them moved to Owens anyway from the looks of it.

What was all that InTrade stuff Freepers were crowing about? They were claiming Corzine would win 66% over Christie... I'd like to know too. It's some kind of futures market. On any other day than an election day, I'd be fascinated to learn more about it. Perhaps someone will post about it and ping me.

InTrade is like an interactive real-time poll that's allegedly more accurate because it costs money to cast a vote. It was touted very loudly in the runup to last year's presidential election (and was hideously wrong, IIRC). Sounds like it was hideously wrong again tonight.

Owens up by 3,700 votes with 63% in. Difficult to make that up as it has not been less than 2,500 most of the evening.

But we have another chance next November; I hope the Pubs learn because if we had a single candidate worthwhile, they would have won.

I heard that district lines for NY-23 are going to be redrawn for next time, making it much stronger for the Dems.
