Before answering your question, I want to make sure that we are both clear on the context of the comment you are responding to.
One poster expressed his problem with the way Fred pulled out of the race and asked why we should listen to him (Fred). I responded to the poster that we should listen to him (Fred) because he is right on this. Whether we agree with him pulling out of the race in 2008 has no bearing on the validity of the opinion he is expressing here. I happen to agree with Fred that it is Newt who is applying a litmus test by expecting that we should simply vote for a candidate because that candidate happens to have an (R) next to his/her name.
Now, if you read my comments out of context and thought that "perhaps because he is right" referred to Newt, then we have a simple communication breakdown and not a disagreement.
