"And we can demonstrate that people are fed up with Ds and Rs both. MaybeHopefully we CAN make a viable third party. "

This is an insurgency in a small and historically conservative, or right-leaning district - hardly a place to evaluate the practicality of a conservative 3rd party.

Outside of this kind of district, a conservative 3rd party would guarantee the Democrats 70+ seats in the Senate and probably 350 seats in the house. Even if they got 35% of the vote - which would be historic, it would be an incredible gift to Democrats everywhere. Put another way, any Republican who didn't enjoy a margin of victory of plus 15%, would probably be defeated.

According to Rasmussen, “undecided” usually breaks almost exactly like the polls show for the other candidates.

I completely agree about the need to send a strong message to the GOP, I think a Hoffman win would do that. It would also send a very tough message to the WH, ha, ha.

Hoffman should attract the majority of the undecideds, I hope.

Don’t happen to be listening at the moment ... all I can say is that’s a real shame. We need conservatives behind Rush’s microphone when he’s not there.

(It is actually Davis, I was wrong above)

He is still hosting off three week old polls. I Googled the poll he was using and it was taken almost four days before this race really hit the national news. It was right after Newt endorsed Scuzzlebutt but before Hoffman started getting his endorsements.

The tide has shifted. Even if we don’t win this ,we are sending a message.

IF there is any place to practice flexing our muscles, this is it. It is an off cycle election and an uphill battle, good opportunity to exercise our voices.

DeDe should step aside, proving to the world that: 1) Newt is right, and 2) Conservatives aren’t the only ones who can compromise.

Davis sounds like a RINO elitist supporter - he just doesn’t get it!

That poll you refer to was done by Daily KOS. Get it? It's exponentially skewed to the 2nd power.

And this idiot replacing Rush will probably not be back anytime soon. He sounds like Newt Greengrich; Another Moderate RINO, trying to convince Conservatives like us that they know what's best. “Right of center is the way to go”....blah, blah, blah,.......PFFARRTTtttt!

I am taking it he is a strategy first person, it isn't really about the principle. The problem is he is working out of the old strategy playbook and doesn't understand where the grassroots are moving. I am usually a strategy person, but I am seeing a major wind change with this and that this is a strategically smart battle to fight at this time.

I’ll go third party if I need to but I’d rather the Republicans start listening to their base.

“this could really shake up DC.”

Why would u think that? They already know, since the “calling the cop” incident, Dede is NOT going to win. Yet they are still throwing good money in her campaign.

I would not hold my breath waiting for them to receive a message.

Bingo! Unfortunately, his home base is my local station, WBAP, which means his annoying voice and lukewarm conservatism clutter up the airwaves three hours every morning, plus another three when he sits in for Rush.

Please, please, Rush...stop using this mealy mouthed nimrod as a sub!

This guy has been a douchebag for years. During the 36 day recount of 2000 he wrote an op-ed in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram calling for Bush to concede the election to Gore since Gore won the popular vote.

GOP establishment says no support for Hoffman because “it’s all about the numbers”.
