I thought when Bush was gone, the Left would regain its sanity?? Apparently there are deeper problems than we previously believed....

I thought when Bush was gone, the Left would regain its sanity??Good question.
On the other hand, I don't think most liberals have any idea of the depth of contempt in which they are held by conservatives. They lie systematically and as a first choice, not a last resort, and they're so deep in their own bubble that they really don't think we notice.
Conservatives are far from perfect, but we at least tend to debate seriously the arguments being advanced by the other side, as opposed to ignoring them and hiding behind straw men and ad hominen attacks.

Just remember what has been said here so many times: liberalism is a mental disorder.

You're correct, their issues are deeper than that.
The mental disorder known as liberalism, and their delusional dystopian dreams are not based on a hatred of Bush or the worship of The Usurper.
Leftists have an ideology, and an agenda, and that won't change, whether Bush or Obozo or Kerry or Gore or McCain was POTUS. Their ideology is still there; the narcissist in office is just a vehicle for them to move their agenda forward.
