Been a quiet hurricane season (Vanity)

Posted on 10/23/2009 8:50:26 AM PDT by Slapshot68

Now that we're heading into the winding down period of hurricane seasons, what are the global warming "experts" saying about the season? It's been awfully quiet.

This is due to global cooling.

Just explain it as El Nino. When there’s El Nino, the Atlantic hurricane season cools off due to the weather patterns rearranging.

“Just explain it as El Nino. When there’s El Nino, the Atlantic hurricane season cools off due to the weather patterns rearranging.”

I’m just playing devil’s advocate here...if GW was as bad as is being rammed down our throats, wouldn’t it stand to reason that it would also affect phenomena like El Nino?

Been a quiet hurricane season.

Yes, but had it been more active, Globull Warming and George Bush would have been to blame.

All the storms are now centered in the halls of the US Congress and they can’t be in two places at once.

Don’t you know that no matter what happens, it’s because of global warming or climate change? Facts don’t matter to money grubbing socialists, only the ability to scare the sheople into agreeing to pay taxes.

Too many storms —global warming.
Few storms —global warming.
Polar ice decrease — global warming.
Too much rain —global warming.
Too dry —global warming.
Al queda resurgence —global warming.
IF WE DO NOT GET CAP AND TRADE IN T MINUS 40 DAYS WE WILL ALL BE KILLED!! Most liberals who believe this crap are stupid. Some have faith in this belief system. Some are communists.

Well as an amateur weather nerd , teleconnections like

are more responsible for your weather than some silly simplificaiton made by political types to forward an agenda. Our weather definitely is a butterfly effect of ocean currents, teleconnections, sunspot activity, the upper layers of the atmosphere like the troposphere, topography of the landmasses, geo-magnetic forces, etc. See how its silly to point to one gas in our atmosphere which is a very small percentage of total gasses and then increase that amount by .00000001% and say it affected hurricane insentisty. so many other variables which are not constant. It's why William Gray laughs at these idiots when they make declarative statements based on bad science in the AGW cult.

Oh and get ready east of the Mississippi, with a mild El Nino and other factors look for your worst winter in 6 years with places like Raleigh, DC, Richmond and Philly getting close to 200% of your normal snowfall.

Up here in New England, we could sure use some of that global warming everybody down south keeps harping about. It’s snowed twice already and it gets into the 30s just about every night now and it isn’t even Halloween yet. Summer was more like extended spring/early fall and now fall seems like early winter.

I’d have to say that solar output trumps them all. The Sun’s been quiet. Yes, a cold winter in many parts.

Yeah, and where’s RFK Jr (ex-heroine addict expert on global warming) who said Katrina was caused by the raping of the planet...? Dope....

One lonely Atlantic hurricane, Bill, which wandered aimlessly off into the ocean leaving only some rainstorms in New England. They're blaming el nino for generating winds aloft which shear off the tops of the thunderheads. Doesn't explain why the south Atlantic "lows" off Cape Verde are not even forming. IOW, they haven't the faintest idea.

And Heidi Cullen the global warming nazi of the Weather Channel is nowhere to be found.
