After another round of attacks from the White House, this time from higher levels of the Obama administration, Brit Hume, a senior political analyst for Fox News, went to bat for his network.
On the Oct. 19 broadcast of Fox News Channel's "Special Report with Bret Baier," Hume gave his best effort to rationalize why White House Chief of Staff Rahm and Obama Senior Advisor David Axelrod used two Sunday morning news show appearances to beat up on the highly rated news channel. According to Hume, it was because they disapproved of the stories his channel broke over the last few months.
"It is a little hard to discern a strategy behind the White House campaign of criticism of Fox News unless it's simply this - an attempt to quarantine Fox and thereby discourage other media outlets from following up stories did originate here," Hume said. "The White House is clearly stung by the revelations about former aid Van Jones. He turned out to have harbored views that were out there where the buses don't run and he was forced to resign. And the White House could not much have cared for the hidden camera expose of ACORN - an organization with which the president had a past association and one whose voter registration drives have benefited the Democratic Party."

You think CNN is in the moneymaking business, do you?
Now if Helen Thomas would resign in protest, that would send a message that this administration is like no other in how they “manage” the press.
Do it Helen! Resign in protest and TELL ALL YOU KNOW!
We may not have much bread, but by George we have circuses.
It’s not. CNN bad, Beck was good. He’s still the same, only he moved to a better network.
outstanding question
Censorship is coming.
“...out there where the buses don’t run.”
LOL - THAT’S a good one, Brit!
Tucker Carlson was terrific on Greta, too - called O’s war on Fox “monumentally stupid.”
Even Bob Beckel on Hannity agreed, and said he talks to more persuadable voters in one week on Fox than he does on the other cable stations in a year.
Everyone forgets that Beck worked for CNN. And he’s kicking their whole day’s lineup’s butt with a 2 PM PT show.
Fun, too, to see two CNN alums, Greta and Tucker, slapping the O administration on their attack on the free press.
I saw that tonight, Tucker was really fired up!
They would be doing what little dogs like to do—dry humpimg his leg.
"dry"?
Yeah, I know. But that is what we always called it.
“Van Jones....was out there where the buses don’t run.”
That’s one for the ages right there ! LOL
CNN is clearly taking its cues from the WH. That stunt where they “fact-checked” the SNL skit was a good example.
Shameful.
Just like John Stossel moved from ABC. On FOX yesterday he said his final reason was that he had a full hour of debunking Roger Moore's "SICKO" and the network would not run it. They wanted to cover Michael Jackson wall-to-wall. So, now he is a FOX contributor. Is Lou Dobbs next?
"Don't pick a fight with a guy who buys ink by the barrel"
Brit emphasizes the reality and wisdom contained within that old saying. Fortunately, liberals are too damn stupid to take it as advice.
You know why they are doing this? It’s because PMSDNC was being exposed as being exactly what they are: Not a news agency, but a propaganda arm for Obama and the DNC. This was a pre-emptive strike being made by Obama and his Admin, to give protective cover for their deep pocket bankrollers at G.E., and PMSDNC (who they love) who sprend 24/7 smearing anyone who says anything against Obama and the “Big Tent of Many Faceted Perversions” Party.
This is one bunch of dirty scum, in the White house, protecting those scumrats who got them there.
