Looking for evidence of Obama's past, Fox News contacted 400 Columbia University students from the period when Obama claims to have been there, but none remembered him.
Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at Columbia who also graduated in 1983. In 2008, Root says of Obama, "I don't know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me.
I don't have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia. Ever! Nobody recalls him. I'm not exaggerating, I'm not kidding." Root adds that he was also, like Obama, "Class of '83 political science, pre-law" and says, "You don't get more exact or closer than that. Never met him in my life, don't know anyone who ever met him.
At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me.
No one ever heard of Barack! And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was. The guy who writes the class notes, who's kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him. Is that not strange?
It's very strange." Obama's photograph does not appear in the school's yearbook and Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia, provide school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or friends while at Columbia.

NOTE: Root graduated as Valedictorian from his high school, Thornton-Donovan School, then graduated from Columbia University in 1983 as a Political Science major (in the same class as President Barack Obama WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN IN)
Columbia College is one of the schools in the Columbia University system, along with the graduate schools and Barnard College at the time. I attended Columbia College, too, but my diploma says "VNIVERSITAS COLVMBIAE" (Columbia University for those of you in Rio Linda).
I think the focus should be not on whether he graduated from Columbia or not, but what he did and under whom he studied while he was in Morningside Heights.
Columbia College is NOT a prep school. Where did you get that crazy idea?
Columbia College is an accredited four year college, founded in 1754 as King’s College. Alexander Hamilton and John Jay graudated from it. It is a member of the Ivy League.
“VNIVERSITAS” = “VNIVERSITATIS”.

This guy has gone from obscure in college to being the most popular man in America?
There is no way in hell that happened.
You build up a lot of relationships in your pursuit of the presidency and that does not happen mysteriously after you are 35.

What a terrible story.. :-( That boss got what he wanted, when it sounds like he’s the one who should have quit. Now we have a prez who doesn’t have to be vetted. I don’t understand! With all the negative crap that came out prior to the election about him (ie psuedo rev wright and ayers connection) one would think that they would have countered with a lot of ‘good’ history, if there was ‘good’ history.

I am at gym but I could tell you story. It was way worse and very bewildering.
To the point I was being writen up for not attending classes or being late.
All which was complete laugh. I am a subject matter expert in my field and when we do team excersises I have always been the leader of the teams. In fact, I can’t recall ever not leading in training and I always got awards. I have even taken over classes.
My peers chose me I did not volunteer and many times I was with people who I had worked with in the past.
Everyone from the director of the classes to students vouched for my attendance. which wasn’t necessary as he received reports on them anyway.
I even had security for the regional office and my bhuiling print reports for when I swipe my security badge.
Didn’t matter.
Also Late is four letter word with me.
This goon even started using racial slurs and terms around me and I informed that I was uncomfortable with those words and in today’s age they just unacceptable.
Here is the punch line: A black guy using racial words around me, a white guy.
He did get his just desserts.

Post 132: One other point of interest: Local 1199, was quite active around Columbia at that time and was a radical force. When they went on strike at Columbia many of the radical students supported them. There also was a radical group called the Columbia Tenants Union run by a wild man named Bruce Bailey, who ultimately was found cut to pieces in a couple of garbage bags. There also were a few radical student groups like the Sparticists (very small) and the Revolutionary Student Brigade, which would demonstrate every so often. I wonder whether our President was hanging out with the fringe groups that were less than engaged in campus activities.

There were several estranged student radicals who became involved with the Columbia Tenants Union rather than demonstrate against American national policies.
I think it was more significant that SEIU Local 1199 was active and militant in New York and at Columbia in particular at the time that Obama was in New York. It would be interesting to find out whether Obama and Ayers had anything to do with the SEIU at that time (since ACORN and the SEIU are joined at the hip), what the SEIU’s role, if any, was at Consolidated Edison, the company run by Ayers’s father, and whether the SEIU had anything to do with Obama’s decision to go to Chicago after law school.

Does he ever tell the truth about anything?
Nope.
The problem with accusations like this is, with the fifth column enemedia in Amerika, the liar-in-chief’s goons will supply a few liars to debunk the charge and the domestic enemy (the media) will tout them to the max while ridiculing the accuser. we see it at FR every day now, on the birther threads.
