As soon as I heard that George Stephanopoulous graduated the same year I did (’82), I checked with another friend from the same year to see if he knew him. He said, “Yeah, he was in my fraternity. We called him “Silent George” because he never really said anything and was always off at political meetings.”
I offer this as data, nothing more. GS’s picture is in my yearbook, and it didn’t take me long to find someone who knew him, even though he was off campus a lot. Barry must have been one hell of a recluse for no one to remember him.
If BO had willing sponsors, it would be easy for him to have graduated without attending any classes or even showing up on campus.
This past Saturday was Homecoming up at Columbia’s Baker Field. What? The President missed it, again? I’m sure he was there in spirit . . . you know, so many recalling the good times they shared with him back in the day. /s

You are desrcribing Columbia’s School of General Studies, not Columbia College. Columbia College is a traditional four year college founded in 1754 as King’s College. Columbia College is an Ivy League school and those attending it consider it to be the peer of — or superior to Harvard, Yale or Princeton.
I haven’t done independent research, so I’m not claiming I know one way or another. And I understand that Snopes is not everyone’s cup of tea. That being said, Snopes indicates that Obama was not registered as a foreign student at Occidental:

Why? Has FOX become interested in the birther issue or are they investigating BO’s history for a different reason?
OTOH, I cannot imagine that there is any chance that a student with the credentials and potential required by Harvard Law would have (could have) gone unnoticed by his fellow classmates.
Also, the sealing of his records means he is not just hiding something...he is hiding everything. In my experience, the personal characteristic of hiding things about one's past is a red flag clearly and strongly indicating that the person in question is simply not who he says he is. I have encountered several such people in my life and they are usually found out relatively quickly.
The fact that Obama has not been found out means (most likely) that he is not acting alone but is being enabled and supported by a cabal. Otherwise, someone or some organization (Mossad or some foreign agency at the very least) would have successfully unsealed his school records. Such records would have tremendous value in "persuading" the president to favor any number (an almost limitless number, in fact) of treaties, money making schemes, etc.
Protecting the president's past from prying eyes would not be an easy task...unless such past never existed and/or the little that did exist has been erased.
BTW, using the often faulty logic of "cui bono" it appears that Obama is owned by the extreme left including but not limited to Russia (hence Obama's capitulation re: missile defense and Iran), Saudi Arabia (hence Obama's refusal to "drill here, drill now"...when such would crank up the economy and create jobs ASAP) and/or Goldman Sachs (for the obvious reasons, but I don't believe GS has the power or ability).
What this all means is that Obama will be found out eventually...and when he is his entire support structure as well as his followers will be discredited. Eventually, every issue he cares about will become a laughing stock (that will be his legacy) unless he can continue the charade forever.
That leads me to believe that, like the good Marxist he is, he plans to gain complete control over all elements that might expose him (the media and the freedom of the citizenry).
By this logic, those who believe we are in for REAL trouble are correct...Obama is planning to establish an eternal dictatorship.

Hum..you may be onto something. It should not be difficult to track Obama’s past, but those who usually do such work— like a law school clinic or political science student projects—are all leftists and would not wish to tarnish Obama’s legacy.

I do know that these muckity-muck colleges often allow people to graduate without attending conventional classes or even going through the normal time span of 4 years. Witness Chelsea Clinton attending Stanford. She was always off on a trips with her Mom and seemed to get her degree in 3 years. Then she went to Oxford or Cambridge and seemed to get through there in no time.
Bambi started at Occidental, then somehow got into Columbia (very selective and elite for most people) then #1 law school where he was “elected” as “President” of the law review journal, as opposed to being selected on merit as the “editor”. How did any of that happen?

Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. {or II} (and yes, he was using that name at that point in his "career") attended the Columbia School of General Studies, which was more or less a walk-in, pay-your-money-take-the-course operation; night courses, seminars, etc., taught by a random collection of adjunct professors, the usual cast of NYC schnorrers, and any unemployed communists available. (Categories somewhat interchangeable)
However, if you jumped through enough academic hoops, voilá, Columbia College would actually issue your genuine Columbia bachelor's degree. But, no genuine Columbia undergrad would be caught dead talking to the odd night crew of characters from General Studies, although more than a few would use the GS courses to meet a requirement, which was allowed.
I myself, moi, took a course there because of a scheduling problem at my small men's college, and never even laid eyes on a genuine Ivy League Columbia College guy, although I did know quite a few, or apparently at least more than BHO, Jr., (or II).
More interesting than BHO, Jr.'s career at Columbia is his relationship at the time with a fellow named William Ayers, and the sister of his girlfriend (the one who was not blown up in the bomb accident) ... who was a professor at Barnard at the time.
At this time, our putative POTUS was living with a group of Pakistani students around the corner from Bill's place. None of the Paki* roomates has ever been interviewed. Be interesting, I guess, since at this time the "Trip to Pakistan*" took place, it is rumoured, on that Indonesian passport, which is part of the inviolable Obama file.
Also interesting would be an investigative media exploration of his relationship with some heavy duty Black Power chaps implicated in armored car robberies and various other revoltionary hi-jinks, one of whom was surnamed Odinga. Move along, Travis, nothing there.
This will all be covered in far more exhaustive depth by the NYT on 4/1/2225, when POTUS Gonzalez (a lesbian) will release the Obama Papers.

I went to grade school with a girl who ended up doing ESPN sports coverage. Every time I saw her on tv I said something to those around me and she was only a broadcaster.
How many people would go to school with the POTUS and not say something when they see him on tv?
I graduated in 1978. In the alumni magazine a few months ago there was a recollection by someone who claimed to have lived off campus with Obama for a year or a semester, I can’t remember which.
There also was a drivel-ly article about unilateral disarmament supposedly published in the Sundial, a campus publication, under Obama’s byline. It read like the typical stuff put out by student radicals.
What professors in the political science department in 1982 would have backed a fraudulent student, in your opinion?
