Kerry: Obama would be "irresponsible" to send more troops to Afghanistan now Posted: October 17th, 2009 03:09 PM ET

From CNN Associate Political Producer Emily Sherman

Sen. Kerry cautioned President Obama against raising troop levels in Afghanistan until after the Afghan election is finalized in the country.

WASHINGTON (CNN)– Sen. John Kerry cautioned President Obama Saturday against raising troop levels in Afghanistan, saying it would be "entirely irresponsible" to do so while the Afghan government remains in turmoil following national elections.

"It would be entirely irresponsible for the president of the United States to commit more troops to this country, when we don't even have an election finished and know who the president is and what kind of government we're working in, with," Kerry told CNN's John King in an interview set to air Sunday at 9 a.m. on State of The Union.

John F’in Traitor is probably already partially engorged at the prospect of U.S. choppers taking off from the Embassy in Kabul with Afghani refugees hanging on for dear life, Ketchup Boy is all about surrender and retreat.

I’d rather take the opinion of an unschooled, retarded midget, that gets his kicks from having his head used to open bar doors after the circus closes every night, than trust the oopinion of John Effen Kerry. Betrayer of our country.

"Kerry, who is Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said the U.S. should listen to the advice of Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the top U.S. commander in that country."

Uh, wasn't it General McChrystal that said he needed the additional Troops?

So, is this another Kerryism, we actually should listen to the general's advice before we ignore the general's advice?

Is the Swift boat Captain continuing his Jane Fonda anti-American rant?

Obama....Kerry...Which political directive to follow.

Feeble minded fodder to contemplate.

Not fair to Americans in harms way.

Dumbing down the ROE - is irresponsible.
R/O body armor to impress Afghanis - is irresponsible
Failure to support Americans at war 200+% - is irresponsible.

Senatorial Responsibility should be of the highest level.

It is amazing that the Democrats put up proceedingly more and more anti-American Presidential Candidates and then the worst possible one wins. Life is stranger than fiction.

More to the truth: Kerry: Obama would be “irresponsible” to send more troops to Afghanistan now because if Obama sends troops to Afghanistan, Obama will lose support for the health Care plan among the Democrats.

Kerry ? shut your pie hole

God help our troops with this man as Commander-In-Chief. Whatever action he eventually takes, it will not be with their best interests as its motive. To think that they are sacrificing their comfort, safety, and lives with this circus in DC having their destinies in its hands. It's even worse than that-some aren't mere moronic clowns, they're actively against the best interests of the troops and America. American voters, 54% of you should hang your heads in shame, electing a bunch of self-seeking at best, traitorous at worst, people to lead this country while we have troops at war. Oh yeah, who cares, Barry's gonna fill your gas tank and pay your mortgage.

I pray that these chickens come home to roost, so we can wrest power from these criminals-all of them, on the left and on the right- and start over.
