There are many more cars and people in this country than there were ten years ago. IF global warming were caused by man and technology, there would be a corresponding “spike” in temps, as population increasing logirhythmically. A small decline in temps is PROOF that man-made global warming is a ruse to take our money.

Obozo, like the proverbial stopped clock, got one thing right here (and prayed on those increasingly infantile emotions to get his sorry butt into the White House).

For years, I’ve been amazed at this idiotic quadrennial fascination with the beauty contest known as the (cue the trumpet fanfare) “PRESIDENTIAL RACE.” Our inattention and/or apparent desire for a king or a strong man dictatorship and/or the increasing numbers of un or ill-educated denizens of the U.S. who feel incapable of lifting themselves out of their own miserable lives has allowed our system to morph to the present quasi-monarchy from its original foundations as a representative REPUBLIC.

People, the most important thing we can remember about all of this is that the Founders constructed the system to put – AND KEEP — the KEYS TO THE FEDERAL CASH REGISTER IN CONGRESS and the current Gang of 535 could bring this out-of-control government spending and the steady usurpation of our freedoms to a screeching halt tomorrow at noon — IF THEY WANTED TO. Attila the Hun could occupy the White House and without the dough to hire the bureaucrats, buy the desks and computers, etc., etc. ad nauseum, Mr. Hun would be hamstrung. (See Article 1, Section 7 of the now largely moribund Constitution for details.)

But they DON’T — for a number of reasons: (And I cite the tax situation as but one example of the problem. Don’t get me started on the ENERGY and Algore’s gloBULL warming scam!)

A number of eminent scientists, along with environmental advocates such as Mr. Gore, lecture us that global warming as a manmade phenomenon is unimpeachable. But this month Americans are shivering through one of the coldest Octobers in memory, whether in Idaho, Colorado, or Michigan.

It was snowing this morning in Merrimack, New Hampshire, for the first time this season.

Weather is not the same as climate, of course, but try telling that to the global warming alarmists 10 years ago.

He's been losing contact with reality for a while.
It's like he's determined to ram certain policies through
regardless of whether they will work or be good for the country.

The population of the US today is over 305 million. Of those, a good chunk is under 18, some are disabled and many are of lower income. The average income in the US is around $35,000 to $40,000/year (I don't know how it breaks down with family or individual).

Of the 300 Million “people” we have here in the US, only about 60 Million actually pay income taxes (number of taxable returns). The rest are either too young, do not make enough to be taxed or are able to exempt themselves through deductions.

We are over $1 Trillion in new debt for 2009 alone.

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-soi/07in14ar.xls

Roughly speaking, if the nation were to take a trillion dollar hit to the deficit this year, it could have created a one year federal income tax holiday for all individual tax filers only (no business) and the “average” individual would have saved over $15,000 dollars (Freepers - feel free to check my math).

Does anyone think that it would have helped our economy in the short term if not the long term? If you simply let the consumer drive the economy and not the government, hasn't it always proved far more effective?

On a separate note, we have booked the debt and borrowed the money but have only spent 7% of the stimulus. Obama and Biden say that the 7% has worked and has saved a million jobs. Meanwhile, we are considering another stimulus plan that will undoubtedly need to be “passed” immediately to save our country.

We had to pass it or we would be a 3rd world country overnight. There were shovel ready projects to infuse the economy. We haven't spent hardly any of it but somehow we are suppose to believe that it has helped the economy from being far worse than it would have been if we had not agreed to go in debt and spend a token amount.

How can anyone in this country believe in this?
