Remember this is near Denver. The ground is at 5,280 feet. To be at 3k it would need to be 2,000 feet under ground.

Some services are reporting the AGL =Above Ground Level.
Some services are reporting MSL= Mean Sea Level- which is what the altimeters of aircraft read.
