House Votes to Allow Gitmo Prisoners Into U.S. for Trial

Republicans in the House have lost a bid to block the transfer of any detainees held at the Guantanamo Bay prison to the United States.

Instead, the House stood by a Democratic plan to allow suspected enemy combatants held at Guantanamo to be shipped to U.S. soil only to be prosecuted for their suspected crimes. President Obama has ordered the facility closed in January but has yet to offer a plan to accomplish that.

As soon as they get of a plane motions will be filed for dismissal on the grounds their constitutional right have been violated...

I think Patriot4ever meant that they might be released in the U.S. if they got off on a technicality and their home country wouldn’t take them. It is actually a valid point.

I was making the point that if their countries of origins won’t take them back, which often happens, they are here as terrorists that will be set free. It was an anti-Obama position. How in the hell was not that obvious? Yeah, don’t worry, if you’re an example of the caliber on here, I won’t bother to read this site anymore or donate like I did right off the bat coming here. Sadly, you’re an example of why I hate to say Republicans are going to be out of power for the foreseeable future. I have said nothing to provoke such an angry response. I’ll get lost now right to another conservative site where people aren’t quite so rabid.
