Liable for what? My point was that they didn't break that law. They complied with it. They had no evidence that he was NOT eligible, so they allowed him on the ballot. That's all they were required to do.
Liable for unvetted, ineligible candidates being put on the ballot. If they didn’t vet him, and took the word of the dnc, and are later proven wrong, (meaning the candidate wasn’t proven eligible) they have to answer to the state, the voters etc.. Don’t know what the consequences would be for them ....hope to find out someday. (even if obama is proven eligible) I bet they wouldn’t let this kind of mess happen again. (if they are smart)
I can’t imagine why keyes didn’t take that route...just crazy for a conservative to go that route, knowing that the prez will spend millions of our dollars, when requests for proof could have been sent out to each and every state. Wouldn’t it be great to get the dnc on the stand defending themselves? “Well, um we were given this here document, and this document was signed by...so based on these documents we declared him eligible”
Not exactly, they certified that he was eligible, by accepting documents from the DNC that certified he was eligible.
