Fox recruiting Lou Dobbs for war on Obama administration?

In an article that was mostly focused on the conflict between the Obama administration and the Fox News Channel, there was an interesting side note to the escalation of hostilities. Fox Business is allegedly courting CNNs Lou Dobbs, who had lunch with Foxs chairman, Roger Ailes, last month, according to The New York Times.
Should he jump over to Fox, Dobbs, who has faced an advertisement boycott like his potential colleague Glenn Beck, might find himself in the Obama administrations sights, like the rest of Fox, which would probably be just fine with him. Were going to treat them the way we would treat an opponent, said Anita Dunn, the White House communications director, of the network. As they are undertaking a war against Barack Obama and the White House, we dont need to pretend that this is the way that legitimate news organizations behave. Dunn told CNNs Howard Kurtz on Sunday. And its not ideological. I mean, obviously there are many commentators who are conservative, liberal, centrist, and everybody understands that. What I think is fair to say about Fox is and certainly the way we view it is that it really is more of a wing of the Republican Party.
Foxs senior vice president for programming, Bill Shine, says of the criticism from the White House, Every time they do it, our ratings go up. The end result is, Foxs ratings are at an all-time high. But the perception of Fox News as an opposition party has also affected its news correspondents, including Major Garrett, its chief White House correspondent, according to the Times. Mr. Garrett and other Fox correspondents have been directed by Michael Clemente, the channels senior vice president for news, not to appear on the channels most opinionated programs, apparently in an effort to not taint them?

They can recruit damn near anyone as long as he/she replaces that insufferable Shep Smith.
&&&
Agree. And let them have O’Reilly, too.

Oh, for cryin’ out loud.
I use “neocon” as a subsitute for interventionists, and those who aren’t the least bit opposed to “big government” (though they like to say they are...then pass the “Patriot Act”).

"I might as well dump my TV. We dont have Fox. "
I remember back in the 60's they used to have "book burnings", even "record burnings" when the preachers all were against the music of that "devil", Elvis Presley.
So, if they get rid of Fox, we should have a TV burning, at one of the Tea Parties...find a huge ditch, and throw'em in (your old tube portable that no longer works, of course).
Note: due to the possible backlash of "der fuhrer", we won't actually "burn" them, but a good crashing would render the same result. We wouldn't want to get the EPA Gestappo on our tails.
Well, it was a thought...but if they take FOX away, then no news outlets will be available accept the obama suck-@$$ channels...which is all th rest.
TV has been transformed from a wonderful mass communication medium to a tool for indoctrination. Now, "der fuhrer" is threatening to take away the few outlets of truth by destroying FOX, talk radio, and limiting the internet. Anyone see a pattern here, say "Sieg Heil".
I really feel for those who don't have cable/FOX that have to endure the nightly, trivial garbage eminating from the alphabet channels...I would just unplug my set if that is all I had to watch.

Fox should hire Lou Dobbs. They can send Bill OReilly aka BOR(e) back to Inside Edition or he can tend an Irish bar on Long Island. Shep Smith can be a towel boy at a bath house.
While they're at it, they can send Geraldo Rivera somewhere too.

If Dobbs jumps the WH will get even wierder. Beck just had on Pat Cadell who identified himself as the youngest menmber of the Nixon enemies list. Pat had a strong warning against the Obama admin’s war on Fox.

It goes beyond immigration. Dobbs has now shifted to a radically Ron Paulian position and wants to bring all the troops home for foreign bases. It would certainly spice up things on Fox which has loyally supported every opportunity for war since Kosovo.

If FOX News is a wing of the Republican party, what does that make MSNBC?

You’re a young whippersnapper compared to me, and I can’t recall a time like this either. I can’t even recall any tales from my parents that hold a candle to what’s going on now.

Not just Shep—Geraldo really really needs to move on over to MSNBC where he might feel more at home.

This is downright chilling. If Bush said this, you’d be able to hear the screams around the world.

If FOX News is a wing of the Republican party and MSBHO is the wing of the Democrat party, that makes CNN road kill.

The WH’s reaction to Fox News would be comical if it weren’t so chilling. Cadell was right - this nation is slipping towards something that will get out of control.
How the ^&%! can this administration state that it will impose “precondition” before ever appearing on Fox News, yet at the same time be willing to talk with Iran and North Korea without any preconditions?!?
