How can he sign a bill recognizing Same Sex Marriage when the state’s Constitution doesn’t?

Isn’t recognition of same-sex “marriages” AGAINST the California state constitution?

Utah has a similar law and they do not preform Gay Marriage in their state.
The law says that California will not preform Gay Marriages in their state and that Marriage is between one man and one women.
That however does not stop the State from agreeing to recognize marriages preformed in any state, including Gay Marriages.

Arnold is living proof that we as a nation are NOT careful enough about who we let immigrate to this country.

I hear what you’re saying, but the status really hasn’t much to do with it. All you have to do is be tempted with some power and authority and no matter how long you’ve been a citizen through how many generations, you might find yourself doing just what Arnold is doing. It’s a urban moral decay thing more than an immigration issue, IMHO.

So homosexual marriage is basically legal in Utah? All one has to do is go to Massachusetts and get married.

God will not honor or bless a nation that recognizes perversion as good and the murder of the unborn and partial born. God will not be mocked.

The entire text of Proposition 8 is as follows:
“Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid and recognized in California.”

Is Schwarzenegger intentionally creating a law that will be challenged in the CA Supreme Court, as a back-door way to get Prop 8 revisited?
Any challenge to this will have to include interpretation of Prop 8, right? Will this give the CA Supreme Court a chance to narrowly interpret Prop 8 into non-existence?

So true. He does not have that authority. As far as milk, the man was despised until shot. Amazing how a bullet changes peoples view of a person.
