The one possible area of concern is energy.
Without drilling for more oil and natural gas we can never meet the demand when and if it returns.
Excuse me but, isn’t that the wookie wearing a hijab into a church?
I would watch it where ever it ran. I really liked that show. It just disappeared.
That video of people in Detroit doesn’t seem to show any gaunt, starving people ....
I LOVE STEVE WYNN!
He probably can't stand all that hard core Christianity of the black Baptists...maybe he doesn't like Gospel music either.
What was the SNL skit they did after the stern communication from the White House?
Must be all that gubmint cheese and the food stamp program.
Palin/Cheney ... all girls ... all the time.
All pretty too.
Morgan, I agree. I was discussing this with my sister last night.
Several years ago she started disposing of some collectible items which were quite popular at the time. She said that as people in our generation started downsizing, these items would be flooding the market and that younger folks didn’t share our generation’s appreciation for these items, so she was selling before the secondary market value collapsed.
She was exactly right. Now explode that same theory to the economy as a whole. Boomers (I am one) were the basis for the consumer economy of the last 50 years. Our numbers caused the expansion of Gerber Baby Food, the prosperity of the Mattel Toy Corporation, the success of Carnaby Street mod fashions, the expansion of universities, the housing boom and the expansion of the appliance, furniture, and decorating industries.
The Boomer echo (our children) has kept this consumption going for a while.
But guess what...we are now reaching retirement years. No one my age is acquiring more collectibles; they are selling them or passing them on to children because they are down-sizing. They aren’t buying any new furniture and are only replacing appliances that can’t be repaired. We don’t buy clothes very much, as we are past needing career wear and tend to spend a lot of time in jeans or seats.
And the generation after us doesn’t have the money for such things and are living a more frugal life style.
So, the consumption economy is pretty much finished for quite a while. Instead of gradually winding down, it has come to a crashing halt.
I expect Christmas is going to be a disaster for retailers, and I don’t see any improvement any time soon, because all the democrats are doing is making people nervous. They see nothing on the horizon but increasing taxes, higher energy costs, shortages, and unemployment. People like that aren’t going to spend money on anything but food and maybe ammo.
I am not optimistic about the economy, not because of the inability of the American people, but because the democrats are doing everything in their power to make it decline.
I’m listening to Jim McGovern telling us that Afghanistan has a government that is corrupt and incompetent.
He could as well be talking about our government.
This is what is absolutely insane. Biden, hailed by the Junk Media as the great foreign policy "genius" of the Democrat party was totally wrong on Iraq.
Biden's purposed ethnic partitioning plan for Iraq was intellectually, strategically, politically and morally moronic. Did not have even a single redeeming feature.
Now General Biden thinks we keep following the same Counter Terrorists strategy we are currently pursuing in Afghanistan that is getting record number of NATO troops killed this year.
Biden not only wants to continue this failed strategy, he now wants to intensify it! And for this insane notion the Junk Media is singing Biden's praises as if he were some great military strategist.
Someone needs to clue them into the fact that doing more of the same and expecting a different result is a classic definition of insanity.
Lindsey really seems to have an unhealthy emotional need to be in a subservient position to some older male figure. 1st McCain now Kerry. God help the Republic when he decided Harry Reid is his new daddy.
FNS will replay the Sunday show later today. Check your local listings, as they say.
The GOP can suggest someone other than Graham all day long. Ain't gonna happen. That's why McCain is on, too.
The only thing you could maybe do is get the GOP to organize a complete boycott of the shows unless some other people are invited, but that probably would result in the shows only inviting democrats and saying that "Republicans declined to appear."
So quit blaming the GOP. There isn't much they can do about it. (Which isn't to say there aren't plenty of reasons to be irritated with the Republicans.)
Jack Keane is the one person worth listening to on Steffie’s panel.
You know our President seems to always get caught on film checking out other male’s butts. Make an interesting thread if some tech savy freeper posted all the pictures that make it look like he is checking out some male’s butt
You must referring to the video of the rather portly poor with cell phones?
