“What is so strange about these results is that the Messiah loses 5 points in one day in his strongly approve-strongly disapprove number must remains the same in his approval number (49%). Very odd.”
His mentally ill and rabid core still loves him. The shift is probably coming from independents and some blue dog voters.
After the horrible economic numbers this morning “unexpectedly”, odumbo will drop even lower
OTOH, the long term trend is still, IMHO, down. And the Big Speech Bump, while mostly gone, is still wearing off. This weeks Big Bump Plan is the Olympics for Chicago Ploy. I really doubt this one will work in his favor. And next week? Who knows. What is certain is that the Obama team will work something every week to try to get his ratings headed back in the right direction. So far they have been unsuccessful.
I predict a “wag the dog” moment coming in the not too distant future.....
Or a Richstag Fire.
His lowest point for strongly approve is -27.
Pray tomorrow will hit a new Low -26.
There is a god.
Would we rally behind this president if our country was attacked by a foreign entity?
Seriously, I’m having problems answering that question, as I know his tendency to NOT want to protect the country or its citizens.
Speaking of blue dogs...have you seen this video? It's hilarious.
What’s that big thing behind Michelle?
Oh, yeah, that’s Michelle.
ho ho! I guess people found his little junket to Copenhagen more offensive than he’d expected
There’s those green shoes again.
Very good point. I like that!! Thanking you for refining and improving my point.
Now, Johnny Cash would be my man.
Considering he never won an NBA title, it’s very nice of the Danes to give Patrick Ewing the red carpet treatment like that.
It was not as you think; I think they were hinting at a nervous breakdown or simply resigning because of either scandal or inability to do the job.
I gotta get ahold of that book for FR for a quick synopsis, also see if the author is legit. But it did jump off the book table at me when I saw it here in Tokyo.
Obama dropped 5 points among voters that felt strongly about him (whether positive or negative); some people that somewhat disapproved now strongly disapproved of his performance, while some people that strongly approved now only somewhat approve. But if his 49% approval and 51% disapproval stayed the same, I have to believe that the shift came not among independents and Blue Dogs (groups whose members tend to be in the “somewhatapprove” or “somewhat disapprove” categories, but among liberal Democrats that moved from “strongly approve” to “somewhat approve” and moderate Republicans that moved from “somewhat disapprove” to “strongly disapprove.”
Of course, a 5-point shift in a single day (even when using a three-day average)is probably best explained by a difference in the poll sample.
22% of REPUBLICANS still approve...good to see those McCain supporters are hanging in there! s/
Interesting that they see those qualities in him as so many of us also do. And unless you are the author, I doubt he is a freeper. (:
like I said, I will try to access that book.
